Well, the truth is, it’s totally up to you! Decanting can definitely unlock hidden depths of flavor and smooth things out, but it’s not mandatory for every glass.

When To Decant:
👃 Aromas: Some wines need some air to unleash their full fragrance potential. Decanting gives them room to breathe, revealing hidden notes of fruit, flowers, or even spice.
👅 Tannins: Think young and bold reds like Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah. Decanting helps soften those tannins, making them smoother and more approachable.
