In 2019, Long Dai proudly welcomed its younger sibling, Hu Yue, into the Lafite family. The 2018 vintage marks Hu Yue’s first release and has offer a subtle glimpse of the estate’s potential. Like its elder brother, Hu Yue carries a name rich in meaning. The inspiration comes from the strength of the tiger, China’s second most sacred animal (“Hu”), and the five sacred mountains of China (“Yue”). Together, these symbols evoke the amber beauty of the majestic hillside vineyard where the wine is carefully crafted, nestled quietly among the vines.

Marcel Ott, a young agricultural engineer from Alsace, fell in love with rosé and set out to find the perfect vineyard, ultimately choosing the terroirs of Provence.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Domaines Ott is their iconic bottle, designed by Marcel’s son, René. Inspired by the tall, graceful cypress trees that grow throughout the Provence region, this bottle is also reminiscent of the amphoras used to store wine and keep it cool in a bygone era.

This enduring passion for rosé and commitment to excellence have made Domaines Ott one of the most prestigious producers of rosé wines in Provence and around the world.
