EQUILIBRIUM EXCLUSIVES 🇺🇸 🍻 Beer balanced by science 🧪

When some chaps at MIT were studying how to make water safe in places where people rely on it most, they realised that this knowledge plus their love of craft beer was a powerful match.

They realised beer is essentially contractions of stuff in water. There you have it, they bought a load of gear for brewing experiments at home and sought to make the best beer in the world, through science.

In 2009, they went from kitchen to brewery, honing their techniques whilst picking up critical acclaim. Saturday release day would see queues around the block and they are now one of the top 5 regional breweries IN THE WORLD 🗺️

This Saturday until sold out, you can pick up their beers on tap and in packaged ONLY at GULP.

We’ve also got juicy, meaty burgers and dogs from to complete that stateside experience. 🇺🇸 Don’t worry, we’re leaving out the politics.

From Friday, Scottish brewery overtone will be taking over the taps to show off their birthday collab beers. Being their 6th birthday, they brewed 6 special releases alongside some of the UKs best breweries, as well as some overtone classics.

Thanks to everyone who came down to our Crimbo bottle share 🎄🧑‍🎄

We’ve definitely had our fill of stouts for a few months and there were some very cool beers on offer from UK, USA, HK, Aus, Europe and more.

It was great to also meet some new faces and connect with old ones whilst have a good beer and chat!

CHRISTMAS BOTTLE SHARE 🎄🍾 this Sunday 4pm at the taproom

We’ve put the tree up, got Slade on, starting to feel a bit festive. No better time to open up the special stuff.

We’re inviting 15 people to join us in our Christmas bottle share where we will be cracking open a few bottles from our personal collection. Some magical stuff throughout the years.

Some ground rules:

- You must bring at least 2 beers that are not readily available in Singapore, something we will all be excited to try.

- We will try and make sure everyone gets to try a bit of the goodness, but this is a free, informal event so no getting upset.

- Message us to reserve your place, first come first served. If it’s already full we will start a waitlist and make a decision if we can accommodate more.

ARI’S BIRTHDAY ON SAT 🍻 Come and get him drunk on the job 🥴

Our craft beer bar stalwart, tattoo artist, inappropriate GIF sending bar manager turns another year older on Saturday and we are sticking on some smashable beers that he can ‘drink tonnes of’ and we’ve said he’s allowed to play his emo punk playlist FOR ONE DAY.

Come and buy him a pint if you’re around, never know, he might share the love back… I saw a bottle of tequila on the order list this week 🙈

It was a cracker of a day and it was so fun to see everyone that’s made GULP, GULP over the last year. We 100% need to do more parties like that.

We will be showcasing the three headed dog Cerebus, a trio of 15% Imperial Stouts, each aged for 16 months in a different barrel of Whisky, Brandy and Bourbon. A vertical tasting of this beer will kick things off!

Then if you have space for more also available will be 4 other beers to choose from!

Huay Chivo a Tequila Barrel Aged Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout.

Krampus a Brandy Barrell Aged Christmas Cake Porter, and then…

Rum Hazelnut Abaddon a massive 17% rich and nutty Imperial Stout which has been aged in Rum Barrels for 15 months!

Also don’t forget we also have MacKenzie Poltergeist on Tap, a 14% Dulce Du Leche Imperial Stout Collab with Vault City for those with a sweet tooth!

The Cerebus trio flight will start at $50, all add on beers will be $15 per 180ml!

We’re changing up the usual schedule for some pies of a different kind… We’ve had many a Pizza Keenway at events in the past and always been a big fan of these mouthwatering sourdough pizzas. Place your order, grab a beer and let the master get to work. Voilà… fresh hot pizza delivered to you.

Although we’ve prepped a fair few doughs, these will be limited so get down early to avoid any disappointment! Open at 1400, pizzas from about 1500!

FUNKY TUNESSS 🍻🎶 at our 1st Birthday Bash

We have some of Singapore’s best selectors gracing the decks in the form of:

- a long time pal from his days behind the bar at Almost Famous, never not seen a smile on this guys face. Turns out he also knows how to turn up a party through sonic waves, playing some of the biggest gigs in town recently.

- who we met when was in town and playing over the river. Little did we know he was an absolute wizard at scratching and has impeccable music taste!

aka - one of Singapore’s most qualified beer drinkers and he also makes his own music. Couldn’t not ask him to spin a few tunes for this - Sam will sort the vibes right out in his sundown set

aka - a man of many talents… one of Singapore’s biggest beer review accounts, co-founder of and an all round nice guy… Jakes has also played some big venues and parties so we’re very happy to have him

is one of the UK’s bigge…. Only joking, but if you’re heading down the Pasir Panjang later in the night, get in the groove with us and start the night on the right foot.

BYE BYE BONEZ 😢 let’s see this CB off! All great things come to an end, and our legendary taproom manager if off to write a new chapter…

This weekend swing by for a final drink with Bonez, who has been the centrepiece of GULP since very early on. Our first manager at the taproom, he made the place his own and is now the face of GULP along with the rest of the crew.

His knowledge of running the bar, sake, craft beer and more has helped us out immensely and we will seriously miss his energy, funky shirts, big hair, inventive insults and being constantly called laoban… we won’t miss him taking his shirt off 😬

So Xie Xie Laoban 🙏 Enjoy the last weekend!
