Throwback of our Tenuta Villa Trasqua Dinner at SICC. Tenuta Villa Trasqua is an estate situated in the historical area of Chianti with more than 1000 vintages. They produce a range of terroir-driven Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and IGT wines. The estate covers some 120 hectares of which 50 hectares are planted to vine, and 10 hectares are planted with 3000 olive trees. We were very honoured and privileged to share these wines with the esteemed members of SICC.

2023 has been amazing for us at Barworks as we upgraded our ERP System, developed our new website, increased our partnerships with various notable products worldwide, and moved to larger facilities. And end it with another successful participation at Whisky Journey. Whisky Journey one of the leading whisky events in Singapore with very good engagement between exhibitors, media, trade, and consumers.

A cozy dinner with some sake enthusiasts that showcases Hiramatsu Sake from Fukuoka paired with delectable cuisines from Red Lantern Seafood, Sembawang Country Club. Interestingly, Sake Hiramatsu was served at the banquet of 2015 World Economic Forum (Davos Convention). We are honored to host Ghid Ojisan (Renowned VBlogger) for this event.

We are honoured to have hosted Mr. Rudi Bauer on the 2nd and 3rd of November.
In these 2 days, we have organized 2 successful wine dinners together with our Trade Customers.
Rudi is the Head Winemaker and Owner of Quartz Reef and also two times winner of New Zealand Winemaker of the Year.
Quartz Reef was established in Central Otago in 1996 and their wines have been highly sorted after by connoisseurs and sommeliers around the world.

Winemaking in amphoras dates back to 3000 BC in Egypt. Fermentation in these receptacles is a slow process that occurs without modern interventions which requires patience, skills, and dedication, resulting in many nuances and complexity.

The climate in the region is extremely continental with a large diurnal range and very little rainfall. The vineyards sit on sandy loam and limestone soil with a mix of clay and boulders and poor in organic material.

Bodegas Romero di Avila Salcedo operates a sustainable form of viticulture by being respectful to the environment and the biodiversity of the animal, insects, and plants around its vineyards.

Since 1990, Santiago has greatly improved the design of the wine cellar and reorganized the vineyards in order to meet the increasing global demands of his wines.

Now available at Jiuzhuang, the renowned chinoiserie wine and whisky bar at Dempsey.

Bodegas Care from Aragon Spain. A modern winery producing quality wines for the international market. This is their old vine Garnacha (average 50 years)
100% Grenache grapes from old vines (over 50 years).
Aged 8 months in American oak barrels.
The wine displays and attractive red colour with layers.
Bright colour. Clean powerful aromas of ripe red and black fruits
with cacao and coffee bean notes. On the palate -
spices, toasty hints and mature notes, with a perfectly
integrated tannic structure. The finish is rich, elegant, powerful and fruit driven. Truly a value for money wine from the lesser known regions.

Mars whisky is produced by Hombo Shuzo. They have 2 distilleries - 1 in the cool temperate, high altitude shinshu, and another at the warm maritime in the south of Japan. Not to mention an ageing warehouse at Yakushima, an UNESCO listed island off Kagoshima.
With the various distilling as ageing options, Mars is able to produce a myriad of whiskies that are carefully crafted for the varied needs of consumers.

Congratulations to Hombo Shuzo for winning Double Gold for 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Award. Additionally, the Mars Tsunuki Single Malt Edition 2022 also won the Tokyo Whisky and Spirits Competition 2022.
A 100% Japanese whisky that is distilled, aged, blended and bottled at the distillery located at Kagoshima.
