More than a year ago we tore down the shop to make way for change.
Those fixtures which pap made himself was complimented by contractor of the precision woodwork while dismantling them. Thought I would share this little info here as if anyone would care.
Maybe those who has been supporting Seahorse would remember the dimly lit provision shop in Ang Mo Kio in its former charm. 😅

This is childhood. Fancy candies and atas chocolate we have had. But looking at these packaging evoked deeper sense of nolstalgia.

The 招牌 was penned by a caligraphy teacher my pa was acquainted with.
Original acrylic was stored somewhere and made way for the current DIY version.

Mulling over how the wordings would look like in fluos tube lighting...gotta catch up with modernity without giving away too much of our identity.

We are old school and will remain like this for a while...
The sweets rack...has been around for 25 years...hand made by my dad.
Shelves are old and breaking apart here and there. Kinda adds to the old shop charm.

Time will catch up.with soon..while we are at it. I would like to document the life of a mamashop.
