The 30 Year Old is matured in a marriage of refill sherry butts and refill bourbon hogsheads and is the first release of this expression from Rosebank in a limited run of 4,350 bottles. Triple distilled in 1990, free from chill-filtration and bottled in 2020 at 48.6% ABV.

NOSE: Soft and creamy with caramel wafer, gooseberry, white grape, almonds,
vanilla, honey, lemon and nutmeg.

PALATE: Delicate and crisp, wonderfully balanced, light syrup, chamomile, pear and
delicate tropical fruitiness with pleasing oak spice.

FINISH: Soft but long, candied violets, orange and faint mint.

Only 4350 bottles are available worldwide.

“When East meets West”: this Amrut Fusion is the result of a blend of two special vintages from the Bangalore malt distillery. The first vintage is made from malted barley harvested at the foot of the Himalayas, while the second is produced using malted Scottish barley that has been dried with peat smoke. Each is aged separately for four years at almost tropical temperatures that accelerate the ageing process, as with old Caribbean rums! A wonderfully rounded single malt with average peatiness, non-chill filtered and bottled at 50%, that reminds us of some Speyside ‘collector’ editions!

Rich and refreshing, with a long-lingering finish.

Arran 10yo is a medium-bodied, citrussy dram that shows an elegance and deftness of touch that belies the distillery’s youth. Tasting the complexity and assurance of this youngster it is difficult to believe that the distillery only opened in 1995. A great achievement.

From the first nose, the aroma palette of this 2021 version of Hampden Great House generously reveals wonderfully exquisite fruity, chocolate and mentholated aromas. Refreshed by infusions of aromatic plants, it lingers on more candied notes. The flavour palette is then medicinal, camphoric and intensely spicy, highlighting above all the particularly full and heady floral tones.

Balblair 18 Year Old is the third whisky in the Balblair Collection and has been matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in first-fill Spanish oak butts. The result is a charismatic single malt with a rich toffee and pear aroma, with a hint of warm spices and leather. The palate offers notes of ripe apricots and raisins balanced by toasted oak and vanilla custard, before a long, warming finish filled with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Papalin is a seven-year-old blended Jamaican rum from rum legend Luca Gargano that was made with a combination of casks from Worthy Park and Hampden Estate, before being bottled in December 2021. Aromas of vanilla, candied citrus peel, nutmeg coffee and chamomile fill the nose, complemented by notes of salted caramel, melted butter, pear, geranium, vanilla, cocoa powder, lemon and hints of garden herbs throughout the palate.

Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg (with seven ‘r’s) was made available to members of the distillery’s committee in late 2020 it has been created to commemorate a key event in Ardbeg’s history. After 13 years at the helm, the legendary Distillery Manager and Committee Chairman, Mickey Heads, is departing. It’s been matured in ex-rye casks, which provides an appropriately intense lift to one of the smokiest of Islay scotches.

A fabulous 10 year old Springbank, matured in bourbon casks as well as sherry casks, adding a wonderful depth of flavour. Slightly peated, it marries a complex mixture of maritime notes as well as a fresh and fruity balance. The definition of a Campbeltown classic.

Unlike previous editions, this version was released without the original box. Springbank has decided to do this to contribute to saving the environment and to take their responsibility as a family owned company.

Distilled summer 2010, this latest expression from Daftmill Distillery features Optic barley – a variety that’s been grown on their land since the 1980s, although it’s been pushed aside through the years in favour of more indigenous barley. A vatting of 25 first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, with only 6,250 bottles produced globally.

The seventh batch of the popular cask strength release from Glenallachie. Using predominantly Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, there is also a small amount of virgin oak and Rioja casks here which shows the distillery’s versatile wood policy. All whisky in the batch was matured for at least 10 years, and has been bottled with natural colour and unchilfiltered.
