Quinta das Bágeiras wine estate in Bairrada wine region is obe of the classic local producers promoting the Portuguese Baga red grape.

Quinta das Bágeiras Reserva tinto 2021 is a blend of Baga and Touriga Nacional not destemed aged in used oak barrels.

Safado is one of the labels by Emanuel Frutuoso winemaker, a garage wine producer from Lisbon Wine Region in the Arruda dos Vinhos area.

Safado is an organic single varietal Tinta Roriz from old vines, aged in used oak barrels of 600 lts. for 14 months followed by a year of bottle aging.

A mouthful vibrant red with a vegetal side perfect to be paired with a hare, onions and potatoes roast. Venha Vinho!

Quinta da Sequeira is a family owned wine estate in the Douro Superior. The far eastern sub-region of the Douro Valley D.O.C. ending in the frontier.

A small boutique producer of great white, rosé, red Douro D.O.C. and Port wines. They are also a serious olive oil producer.

The Grande Reserva Tinto 2019 from Quinta da Sequeira is an emblematic red from the Douro. A blend of native Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Amarela. Foot stomped in granite and aged for 24 month in french oak barrels.

I suggest it to be enjoyed with a roasted Maronesa beef surloin with carrots, onions and potatoes or with a São Jorge 18 month aged island cheese from the Azores.
