Tarlac is an undiscovered place teeming with wildlife and abundance of nature.

With its long stretch of highways in between the more popular tourist spots in the north and south of Luzon and because of the flat and landlocked layout of the province, Tarlac's beauty is often overlooked by tourists.

The animals featured in this piece are all found in the rain forests surrounding Tarlac, with some birds that are ubiquitous in the flat planes, like the yellow-billed egret (Ardea intermedia).

The artist particularly chose endemic and endangered animals such as the Philippine duck (Anas luzonica), Luzon fruit bat (Otopteropus cartilagonodus) and the Philippine brown deer (Rusa marianna). This aims to familiarize and remind Tarlaqueños of the uniqueness of our local wildlife.

Tarlac’s diversity is truly something to be proud of!
