Rendang comes from the Indonesian word merandang or randang, which means "slowly" in reference to the long cooking process. It is a dish of beef or other meat cooked slowly in coconut milk and various spices until fairly dry. It is normally cooked for 6 to 7 hours at a temperature of 80โ€“95ยฐC.
Ingredients used in the spice mixture, or rempah, are usually garlic, onion, red chilies, turmeric, ginger, pepper, lemongrass, galangal, star anise, kaffir lime leaves, bay leaves, and turmeric leaves.
The cooking process over low heat serves to add flavor to the meat, tenderize and preserve it.

With Rendang ready-to-cook mix, you can shorten the cooking time but experience the same flavor as the traditional way of cooking Rendang.

What is Nasi Goreng?
Nasi means rice while Goreng means fried, in Indonesian and Malay languages. Basically, Nasi Goreng is flavored fried rice. Typical seasonings for nasi goreng include but are not limited to salt, chili pepper, spring onions, turmeric, palm sugar, bumbu paste made from ground garlic and onion or shallot, kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), shrimp paste, black pepper, fish sauce, and powdered broth.
You may also add egg, scrambled in the rice during the cooking process. You can also add pieces of meat, fish, seafood or chicken, and even pieces of vegetables.
You can now transform your leftover rice into a bowl of savory rice using Nasi Goreng ready-to-cook mix.
