Private participation in education aimed at producing excellent and globally competitive graduates is a most welcome development. Imbued with the mission to provide quality education, WEST BAY COLLEGES, INC. formally opened its doors to the first batch of 50 students in Scholl Year 1996-1997 after the permits to offer six programs were approved by the Commision on Higher Education (CHED). Strategically located on the western shore of Laguna de Bay in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, WBC is at the crossroads to Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon or CALABARZON and, as such, it is accessible to students from southern Luzon and the cities of Las Piñas, Parañaque, Taguig, Makati, Pasay and Pasig. With Bachelors of Science in Maritime Transportation and Marine Engineering as its flagship courses, the college operates on full speed in its quest for excellence. Its other course are B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Computer Science and Associate in Computer Secretarial. Early classes were held at Pauline Building 1 on the Wawa Campus along Bunye Street. Later in October 1996, the groundbreaking for Pauline Bldg. 2 was held. Quality Policy Statement: The West Bay College (WBC) as an educational institution is highly committed to provide quality education and training as required by national and international standards. In its quest for excellence, the College shall provide excellent facilities and training equipment, highly qualified and competent faculty and well-organized and efficient personnel and related services which are required for customer / clientele satisfaction. To attain this objective it is the policy of WBC to maintain a quality system that is well planned efficient and effective. VISION: An Internationally-Recognized Institution Producing Globally-Competitive Individuals who will positively contribute to the search for truth and the full development of their families, communities and larger society. MISSION: To provide Quality Education in order to: Develop individuals with the ability to create and think critically in their pursuit for excellence. Equip individuals with useful knowledge, skills and positive values in the area of security and clean environment that is required by the global community.
