Base sa report na inilabas ng Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) noong 2019, gumagamit ang mga Pilipino ng mahigit 163 milyong plastic sachet packets, 48 million shopping bags, at 45 million thin film bags araw araw. Ilan ito sa malaking dahilan ng lumalalang problema natin sa basura.

Ang pakikiisa sa pagbawas o pag-iwas sa pagkonsumo ng single-use plastics, na maaring simulan sa ating mga tahanan, ay isang malaking kontribusyon natin sa ating kalikasan at komunidad.
