The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines or NGCP will de-energize the 138kV Panit-an-Nabas transmission line to conduct maintenance activity. To avoid untoward incident that may happen and for safety of their line crew, power will be interrupted on the schedule below:

Date: FEBRUARY 28, 2021 (SUNDAY)
Time: 7:00AM-9:00AM AND 3:00PM-7:00PM
Activity: LOAD TRANSFER AND NORMALIZATION PROCESS. NGCP WILL CONDUCT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF ITS 138KV PANIT-AN- NABAS TRANSMISSION LINE. LOAD OF AKELCO ANDGAO AND ALTAVAS SUB-STATION WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO NGCP PANIT-AN SUB-STATION WHILE LOAD OF AKELCO LEZO, NABAS, CATICLAN AND BORACAY SUB-STATIONS TO NGCP SAN JOSE SUB-STATION
Affected Areas: WHOLE COVERAGE AREA OF AKELCO

Power may be restored anytime or earlier within the scheduled time stated after all works will be done.

BFAR warns of eating crab ′′ kuret ′′
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has warned of eating a type of crab called ′′ kuret ".

BFAR, nagbabala sa pagkain ng alimangong “kuret”

Nagbabala ang Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) sa pagkain ng isang uri ng alimango na tinatawag na “kuret”.

Ito’y matapos suriin ng BFAR ang nasabing alimango na dahilan ng pagkalason ng dalawang pamilya kung saan dalawang batang magkapatid ang namatay matapos kumain ng kuret sa Barangay Tangatan, Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

Sa abiso ng BFAR, ang alimango na may scientific name na ‘zozymus aenus’ ay sadyang may taglay na toxins o lason at hindi dapat kinakain.

Ang mga species na ito na hindi pwedeng kainin ay makikilala sa mga hindi pangkaraniwang itsura.

Ilan sa mga ito ay makukulay o may batik- batik na shell o balat.

Para po sa kaalaman ng lahat na ngayong umaga ay isinailalim na sa Signal Number 1 ang mga kalapit na Probinsya ng Capiz, Iloilo, at Negros Occidental.

Ang Probinsya ng Aklan (kung nasaan ang Bayan ng Malay at Boracay Island) ay wala pa ring active storm signal.

- Ang air travel ay nananatiling operational.

- Ang byahe ng bangka mula Boracay - Caticlan (vice versa) ay nananatiling operational hanggang 8:00PM ngunit maaaring panandaliang suspendihin depende sa lagay ng panahon.

- Ang byahe ng RoRo ay posibleng ikansela depende sa lagay ng panahon.

Pinapayuhan ang mga bisita na magsagawa ng early check-outs bilang paghahanda sa posibleng kanselasyon ng mga byahe kung isasailalim ang Probinsya ng Aklan sa Storm Signal Number 1.
