I’ve been itching to doodle lately but my hands have been very full with a curious and off the charts energy toddler along with a cuddly, always wanting to be held, newborn. And when mom guilt kicks in and when it feels like I can’t do anything perfectly…I just remind myself that my best is good enough. So, today, I hope you remember that. Your best is perfectly enough.

A lot of you were asking in the messages how big the medium mat really is, so here's a height comparison 😘

Some asked how the mat would compare to bed sizes. This one is wider and longer than a single size bed. Meanwhile... our XL playmat is a KING SIZE!

Just like adults, starting a workout feels like too much work for a baby! Your baby can start tummy time at short sessions, 30 seconds after a diaper change or after a bath, and you will start to notice that they get more comfortable with it as their muscles grow stronger!

**Remember, only do tummy time when baby is awake!**

It is the Nature of Children to Play
"When children feel safe they can play with their full attention."
They can give play their full attention because their brain function isn't focused on their safety (that's the brains first priority, survival). 'Felt safety' frees the child's brain up to get on with that other great brain programme, playing. The child at the beach gives us a good idea of how it all works:
• The child knows you are there if they need you or want you - that's their emotional safety.
• You know where the child is in case they need you or want you - that's your emotional safety.
• You don't have to get into the water to be a play ally.
• Now translate this understanding to all the other play scenarios where you don't need your swimsuit.
