Donation Drive Update

All your generous donations have been successfully turned over to the victims of the recent typhoon in Sampaloc, Talisay, Batangas. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all students and employees who contributed – your kindness has made a real difference!
Together, we’ve donated:

• 171 relief packs
• 100 hygiene kits
• 385 bottled waters
• Numerous clothing items

However, the community is still in need of support, so we are continuing to accept donations. Every bit helps as we work together to uplift those affected.

Get Ready for Brigada Eskwela 2024 with the 4 Bs!

1. Bring your cleaning materials. Don't forget to bring essential cleaning supplies like rags.
2. Bring your water tumbler. Stay hydrated throughout the day by bringing your water tumbler. Keeping yourself refreshed is key to staying energized.
3. Be in comfortable clothes. Wear your most comfortable clothes suitable for physical activity. This will help you move freely and stay at ease while working.
4. Be ready to help. Come with a positive attitude and be ready to lend a helping hand. Teamwork and enthusiasm make a big difference!

The Kababaihan of Maria Makiling, together with the Institutional Social Responsibility Office of LPU - Laguna, visited LSPU - Sinoloan's Mushroom Research and Production Center (LSPU MRPC) for benchmarking.

Prof. Charmyne Sanglay, the Project Leader of LSPU MRPC, provided insights about oyster mushrooms and discussed potential problems the garden might encounter, such as pests and weather, along with possible solutions to these challenges. They also had a tour of the entire facility, from the incubation area to the process of producing products made from oyster mushrooms.

We are grateful to LSPU MRPC, particularly to Prof. Charmyne, Sir RC, and Ms. Maica, for their warm welcome and for sharing their knowledge about mushroom research and production.

The City Agriculture Calamba and Adhika Mushroom Canlubang recently served as speakers in a seminar and demonstration on mushroom cultivation for the Mga Kababaihan ng Maria Makiling and the LPU-Laguna community. The event was organized by ISRO with the help of LPIES.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Juliana Lanip and Ms. Sally Quilay of CASD, and Ms. Ramonita Guanzon and Ms. Cisely Delima of Adhika Mushroom Canlubang for their invaluable contribution to the seminar. Their expertise in mushroom cultivation has given us insights that we will use to improve our community garden and help our community prosper.
