LIQUOR BAN RELAXED
The city government has relaxed the modified liquor ban adjusting the hours of coverage to 12 hours from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.
In Executive Order No.150 series of 2021, issued by Mayor Benjamin Magalong Nov. 8, he said local food and beverages retail businesses can operate longer but with compliance to the health protocols now that the city has fully vaccinated 71 percent of its target adult population.
"With sustained efforts to increase the number of vaccinated individuals in the city, local businesses in food and beverage retail services can now lengthen their operating hours as long as there is strict observance of prescribed health protocols," the mayor said.
With the modified liquor ban, the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages and liquor products is prohibited from 12 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. of the following day.
The consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed as an incident to dining in food and beverage retail establishments, provided, the maximum quantity thereof that may be served shall be as follows:
βͺFor beer, wine, or cocktails: a maximum of four (4) individual servings per diner;
βͺFor liquor and distilled spirits: a maximum of two (2) bottles per table shared by two (2) or more people where the volume of the beverage does not exceed one (1) liter; or a maximum of one (1) bottle per shared table of two (2) or more people where the volume thereof exceeds one (1) liter. Neither shall be served for any individual diner.
Alcoholic beverages will continue to be disallowed inside construction sites, barracks, and stay-in training centers. -- APR/PIO Baguio
