Duty Manager at Liquorland Whitianga
Are you ready to lead in paradise? Liquorland Whitianga is seeking a dynamic Duty Manager to join our team in the beautiful beach town of Whitianga, located in the scenic Coromandel Peninsula.

About Us: Liquorland Whitianga is a thriving liquor retail store known for its exceptional customer service and wide selection of products. We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming atmosphere and quality beverages to our diverse community of locals and tourists alike.

Position Overview: As Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in our store's success, working directly with the store owners. You will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while upholding our high standards of customer service. This role involves evening and weekend work to meet customer demand during peak times.
Key Responsibilities:
Physically Fit - there is alot of lifting and moving stock
• Manage day-to-day operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
• Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with liquor laws and regulations, maintaining a current Duty Manager's license.
• Utilize your product knowledge of wine, spirits, or craft beer to provide expert advice to customers and staff.
• Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Monitor and control expenses to maximize profitability.
• Utilize your forklift license to manage inventory effectively (bonus).
Requirements:
• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the liquor industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Hold a current Duty Manager's license (essential).
• Forklift license is a bonus.
• Must have New Zealand Citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency, or a valid New Zealand Work Permit.
