Located on the southern edge of Coonawarra, the historic Penola cricket ground once echoed with the sounds of bat on ball. First played on in 1950 and retired in 1996, this iconic site was transformed into a vineyard by Jim Barry in 1997, where Cabernet Sauvignon now flourishes. Inspired by the ground’s sporting legacy, the Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon was first released in 2001 and continues to impress with its structure, finesse, and length.
