MORTLACH 7 YEARS OLD SHOP ONLY RELEASE

The Duchess has its officially released their our shop only of this stunning Mortlach.

In the whisky capital of Speyside, Dufftown, you'll find the quirky distillery, Mortlach. The use of three different stills, including the famous "wee witchie," gives Mortlach's spirit a distinct character with many facets. Mortlach is a whisky you don't come across often. The vast majority is used in blends, official distillery releases are very rare, and for independent bottlers, it is often very difficult to acquire casks.
The Duchess has been able to acquire a quarter cask for this release. By using a quarter cask,. The maturation also happens faster than in larger casks, greatly enhancing the quality and flavor. Without a doubt, this single (quarter) cask release is a must-have for any whisky collection.

BENRIACH 26 YEARS OLD SINGLE CASK 1997

OUT NOW!

This magnificent release, is undoubtedly one for all BenRiach enthusiasts. BenRiach is located in the North of Speyside, in the picturesque village of Longmorn. This cask was specially selected for its broad character. The whisky boasts a beautiful balance between dark cocoa tones, lovely spiciness, and a light smoky touch. Ultimately, it was decided to finish this whisky in PX sherry casks to add more complexity to the whisky. The result is truly remarkable, a stunningly balanced and complex Speyside whisky with a very broad flavor palette.

Caroni the Duchess Nautilus 31 Years Old Cask 6 54.1%

It's official now, we just released of one of the oldest Caroni rums ever to be released, a 31 year old rarity.
For this historic release, we have chosen one of the most curious sea creatures as its spirit animal, the Nautilus. This sea creature is part of the same family as squids and cuttlefish, but stands out because of its unique shell, a shell divided into several chambers, symbolizing the many layers and hidden depths of this wonderful Rum.

Scoring 92/100 points at MaltFascination

Another reason why the Nautilus is chosen, is because it is an absolute relic. For the past 500 million years the Nautilus has remained much the same and the fossils from back then are one of the most iconic. Much like the closed distillery Caroni, the Nautilus is something from the past, which remains with us until this day.

Caperdonich the Duchess 25 Years Old Cask 30900 56.2%

Our latest release in the Game & Wildlife Series is now officially released!

This time the Duchess has managed to get their hands on a very exclusive whisky from a dismantled Speyside distillery!
The Caperdonich distillery had established its signature style, and its Speyside whisky was certainly a unique whisky to have.
In 2001, the distillery was purchased by Pernod Ricard, who unfortunately had to cease production, and in 2002 the distillery was dismantled.

Luckily, The Duchess managed to obtain a splendid whisky from this closed distillery counting 25 years of age!

Caperdonich the Duchess 25 Years Old Cask 30900 56.2%

Our latest release in the Game & Wildlife Series will officially be released this Thursday (March 2nd) at noon CET.

This time the Duchess has managed to get their hands on a very exclusive whisky from a dismantled Speyside distillery!

The Caperdonich distillery had established its signature style, and its Speyside whisky was certainly a unique whisky to have.
In 2001, the distillery was purchased by Pernod Ricard, who unfortunately had to cease production, and in 2002 the distillery was dismantled.

Luckily, The Duchess managed to obtain a splendid whisky from this closed distillery counting 25 years of age!

Milk and Honey on The Duchess Caroni Cask
SPECIALLY SELECTED FOR THE DUCHESS

After The Duchess released its 21 years old Caroni back in 2019, an empty Rum Cask became available. This was the reason for Tel Aviv distillery Milk & Honey to get in touch. It only took a couple of emails to come to an understanding, that the ex Caroni cask would be destined to age a new make single malt spirit in.

It was late 2022 when head distiller Tomer Goren contacted The Duchess again with one simple and clear message:
"I shouldn't wait any longer, its perfect now!"

We now have this limited release from The M&H Distillery available, released exclusively for the Dutch market. Aged on an ex-Caroni cask only 166 bottles have been filled at cask strength. Make sure to get this very limited bottle added to your collection.

Bunnahabhain Mòine 15 years old PX sherry finish Cask 2000085 55.3%

Though Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is known as a non-peated distillery from Islay, their Mòine (which is Gaelic for peat smoke) is the exception to this trademark. It is a rarity to find this whisky at 15 years old, with exception of a hand-filled Mòine and a distillery exclusive, this is the oldest example of a Bunnahabhain Mòine.
