Big announcement: CHENIN CHENIN is teaming up with the talented Japanese sushi chef, Ken Sakagami (.japaken )!

We have been chewing on this one for quite some time, and we’re thrilled to transform our shop into an Omakase counter.

Many of you might remember Ken’s much-loved food stall at Albert Cuyp Market, which he closed in November 2023.

Since then, he’s been perfecting his craft through exclusive Omakase experiences while quietly prepping for the opening of his new restaurant.

Like us at CHENIN CHENIN, Ken shares a deep passion for high-quality, honest ingredients and true craftsmanship. His approach to food is a beautiful blend of seasonal clarity, originality, and innovation.

Ken is known for making every single ingredient shine, creating deeply personal and authentic Japanese dishes.
We’re excited to host him in our store this October for four unforgettable nights. Ken will be preparing a 13-course menu paired with our finest wines and sakes for €120 per person. With only 8 seats per evening, this is an intimate experience you won’t want to miss.

Hey wine lovers, we’ve got some exciting new bottles just for you! Straight from the vineyards of Terra Alta to your glass, check out these fresh finds: SINESTÈSIA rosat, tinto, blanca and two charming sparkling from . Yay!

Josep’s approach is to capture freshness and subtlety in the wine by utilizing a relatively short maceration period, preserving the vibrant and youthful character of the Garnacha grapes.

The 2023 vintage offers delightful enthusiasm and a vibrant character. A lively and refreshing wine, bursting with fruity flavours and playful acidity.

Come by the store or buy them online. Rosat and Blanca are available as long as it lasts. ✌️
