• The father of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, Joseph Aloba has once again spoken about the paternity of his grandson Liam Aloba.

• According to Mr Aloba, he’s insisting that his daughter-in-law, Omowunmi conduct a DNA test on Mohbad’s son because of Nigerians.

• Speaking in an audio message making rounds on the internet, Mr Aloba stated that he does not doubt that Liam is his grandson.

• Mohbad’s father maintained that it was important for Wunmi to do the DNA test to satisfy the curiosity of concerned Nigerians.

•Why Police Can’t Arrest Crossdressers In Nigeria – Adejobi

• The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Muyiwa Adejobi has revealed why crossdressers in Nigeria cannot be arrested or prosecuted.

• Speaking in an interview on Channels TV, Muyiwa Adejobi, was asked how the police are responding to the crossdressing crisis in Nigeria involving the likes of Bobrisky, James Brown, Jay Boogie and so on.

• In response, Adejobi said certain cases are extremely challenging to prove. Citing r**e cases as an example, he said that there are numerous elements that need to be proven and failing to prove one of them could result in a case being dismissed in court.

• In his opinion, you cannot arrest someone you want to prosecute without having credible evidence against them.

•He further stated that crossdressing is not illegal in Nigeria to the best of his knowledge but the allegations on crossdressers are based on natural offences and require credible evidence to be prosecuted.

• A young woman, Aisha Bukar Gambo lands in the hospital following a brutal assault allegedly carried out by her husband’s side chic, Falamata Mai Mele, and members of her family.

• The distressing incident occurred after Aisha discovered her husband and his side chic together on their marital bed in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.

Nigerian woman rescued 10 years after kidnap by Boko Haram in Chibok

Lydia Simon, recovered along with three children born in captivity, was one of 276 schoolgirls taken in 2014

Nigerian troops have rescued a pregnant woman and her three children 10 years after she was abducted by Boko Haram militants when she was a schoolgirl in the town of Chibok.

Lydia Simon was rescued in Gwoza council area, about 95 miles (150km) east of Chibok, from where 276 schoolgirls were seized in April 2014. As many as 82 are still missing a decade after the high-profile mass kidnapping.

Announcing the news on Thursday, the Nigerian army did not give details of the rescue other than to say Simon was found in the community of Ngoshe.

Chibok and Ngoshe are in Borno state, birthplace of the 15-year old insurgency that has since spread to neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Niger, uprooting about 2 million people across the region.

The army statement said Simon was five months pregnant. It was accompanied by a picture of her and her three children born in captivity, who appear to be between the ages of two and four. She has yet to be reunited with her family.
