Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola Disguises On Wheelchair In London Hotel For Secret Meeting With Bola Tinubu - Peoples Gazette

Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has been sighted in London pretending to be a physically-challenged old man, Peoples Gazette llearnedtoday, in what Supreme Court sources said was a clandestine preparation for a meeting with President-elect Bola Tinubu.

Mr. Ariwoola’s movement was exposed to The Gazette as Mr. Tinubu was arriving in London for what his team claimed was a relaxation trip after a hectic campaign that preceded his declaration as Nigeria’s president-elect last month. But Mr. Tinubu kept his trip to London secret until it was exposed on Wednesday afternoon by Sahara Reporters, which said the trip was a medical emergency.

The Gazette learned that Mr. Ariwoola departed Nigeria on March 11 via Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. He was pushed in a wheelchair through the terminals to board a British Airways flight, our sources said.

Upon arrival in London, Mr. Ariwoola, 64, was also wheeled into a hotel downtown, where he has remained ever since. But immediately after checking into the hotel, Mr. Ariwoola abandoned his wheelchair and started moving around the facility unaided. The Supreme Court head is not known with any physical disabilities.

“He has been moving about in the hotel without any wheelchair,” a source familiar with the CJN’s activities at the London accommodation told The Gazette. “He was standing on his own in the elevator just yesterday.”

The Gazette learned that Mr . Ariwoola repeatedly picked up food ordered via delivery services at a mid-level lobby, including Uber Eats and Deliveroo. It was unclear whether or not he placed the orders by himself or how he paid.

With Mr. Tinubu now in Europe, he would be meeting Mr. Ariwoola in a secret arrangement to discuss issues unknown to Nigerians, our sources said.

“The CJN deliberately left the country more than a week ahead of Tinubu to avoid any suspicion about why both of them disappeared at once,” a source familiar said. “That is why he traveled secretly and Tinubu also traveled secretly.”

They thought that they could secretly move the president-elect abroad without anybody knowing about it,” a source said. “That’s one of the several mistakes they made on this matter, asides from the belief that they could allow the Chief Justice of Nigeria to move about in a London hotel for several days undetected after going through the trouble of disguising him in a wheelchair.”

The Gazette has temporarily withheld the CJN’s photos and the specific hotel he stayed in to protect a source central to this story.

A Supreme Court source said Mr. Ariwoola wanted to meet Mr. Tinubu to discuss issues that may arise from the budding legal challenge to the declaration as president-elect, including whether or not he should be worried about the petitions recently filed by opposition parties.

“The CJN would either assure Tinubu of victory in court or tell him that he should be worried about the dimension the petitions may take through the court stages,” the source said under anonymity to avoid facing administrative action for divulging privileged information to reporters. “But we may never know what they discussed after their secret meeting.”

“I am reluctant to start thinking about the of their meeting right now,” the source added. “But any fair-minded person will easily admit that both of them meeting in a foreign corner to discuss something that Nigerians will not know about is highly suspicious and should be unwarranted.”

REACTION TO THE PURPORTED RANKING OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA (IPOB) AS THE 10TH MOST DANGEROUS GROUP IN THE JUST RELEASED GLOBAL TERRORISM INDEX.

There is no gainsaying the fact, that it would be out of place if the well-orchestrated, high-powered conspiracy between the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), its security Agencies and the foreign institution involved, at arriving at a stereotyped scripted outcome in their desperate effort to blackmail and demonize IPOB; is not rebutted/clarified.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been effortlessly pushing this obviously mischievous and malicious narrative, and relentlessly attributing all violent crimes and criminal activities being perpetrated in the South-East, as an IPOB contrive.

Verifiable evidence abounds, which conclusively exonerates IPOB from these heinous crimes, however, pointing at IPOB as those perpetrating these atrocious acts in the South-East is a well scripted conspiratorial agenda in the grand scheme that was set out to be accomplished by the Establishment.

There are several instances, where even the chief executives of the states in the South-East have openly and publicly declared, based on security intelligence available to them that the criminals behind these relentless bloody onslaughts on innocent citizens in the South East are not IPOB, but a known dissident group being commandeered by a Finland based Nigerian, who has no affiliation whatsoever with IPOB.

IPOB as a non-violent group, had several times in the past, publicly disassociated themselves from the heinous activities of these marauders, who are desecrating our land. From these plethora of publications, all in the public domain, the leadership of IPOB usually undertakes to participate in fishing out/flushing out these soulless beings from our land. The IPOB publications under reference are accessible on all social media platforms and print media.

What is most surprising, and beyond comprehension, is the fact that at any slightest violent or criminal occurrence/attack in the South-East, and its environs, the Nigerian Security Agencies will immediately call out the IPOB as those responsible for the heinous crimes, without any attempt at investigating the actual state/ non-state actors involved in the alleged crimes.
What is not contestable is the fact that the state is fully aware of the methodology and modus operandi of this dangerous group whose style is to hide under the guise of Biafra struggle to perpetuate violent crimes, whilst they are not members of IPOB.

Unarguably, the essence of the FGN pushing this false narrative to the international arena is to twist, and consequently bias their perception of the IPOB, to erroneously accept the dummy being sold to them that IPOB is responsible for the criminal activities, killings and kidnappings going on in the South-East of Nigeria.

No wonder, the Federal Government of Nigeria's first public reaction to the heinous activities of the Finland-based Nigerian, who has been desecrating our land with his dangerous group, was made only few days before the just concluded National elections.

We wish to again, categorically reiterate, that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is a non-violent group, registered and recognised in several countries across the world; specifically made up of citizens who are constitutionally exercising their globally recognised right to self-determination as extantly enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, African Charter on Human and Peoples Right (Enforcement and Ratification) Act Cap A10 LFN 2004, and other international instruments, treaties and charters; and which group has no connection/link whatsoever with the criminal activities in the South-East being perpetrated on our hitherto peaceful land, by some criminal and violent dissidents, who falsely hide under the guise of the Biafra struggle, to perpetuate their atrocious and heinous acts.

Nevertheless, we shall challenge this misguided and misinformed ranking by the Institute for Economics and Peace, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, before the appropriate fora.

We are therefore appealing to all concerned institutions to be properly guided, cross check their criteria, facts and indices, before rushing to public space to defame, and demonize an innocuous /non-violent organization legitimately exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights to self determination.

Let the wise counsel prevail.

Atiku withdraws court application against INEC

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has withdrawn his application over the sorting of the electoral materials he would need to prepare a petition he intends to lodge against the outcome of the February 25 election.

it was gathered that Atiku’s decision to discontinue the fresh application comes after a meeting with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the headquarters of the commission in Abuja on Tuesday.

This newspaper understands that at the meeting, INEC promised to allow PDP agents to observe the process of sorting out some of the electoral materials the opposition party requested for, especially the ballot papers.

“We filed the application owing to challenges and administrative bottlenecks we encountered at the INEC office when we went for access to the election materials as ordered by the court.

“However, before the application dated March 13 could be slated for hearing, INEC, on its own, called our legal team for a meeting.

“It was at that meeting which held yesterday (Tuesday) that all the grey areas were sorted out, with INEC, pledging to allow our agents to observe the process of sorting out some of the electoral materials we requested for, especially the ballot papers.

“Since that was primarily our prayer in the fresh application we filed, we felt that it would not be necessary to proceed with the hearing.

“So, to save judicial time, we filed a notice of discontinuance which was accordingly granted”, Vanguard quotes a member of Atiku’s legal team as saying.

Consequently, following the withdrawal of the application, Justice Joseph Ikyegh-led three-member panel of the Court of Appeal struck it out.

The biggest country in Africa that the United Kingdom colonized is Nigeria. The biggest country that the United Kingdom colonized in Asia is India (which then comprised the present Pakistan and Bangladesh). When the UK came into Nigeria and India, like all other countries they colonized, they brought along their technology, religion (Christianity), and culture: names, dressing, food, language, etc.

Try as hard as the British did, India rejected the British religion, names, dressing, food, and even language, but they did not reject the British technology. Today, 80.5% of Indians are Hindus; 13.4% Muslims; 2.3% Christians; 1.9% Sikhs; 0.8% Buddhists, etc. Hindi is the official language of the government of India, but English is used extensively in business and administration and has the status of a “subsidiary official language.” It is rare to find an Indian with an English name or dressed in suit.

On the other hand, Nigeria embraced, to a large extent, the British religion, British culture – names, dressing, foods, and language – but rejected the British technology. The difference between the Nigerian and the Indian experiences is that while India is proud of its heritage, Nigeria takes little pride in its heritage, a situation that has affected the nationalism of Nigerians and our development as a nation. Before the advent of Christianity, the Arabs had brought Islam into Nigeria through the North. Islam also wiped away much of the culture of Northern Nigeria. Today, the North has only Sharia Courts but no Customary Courts. So from the North to the South of Nigeria, the Western World and the Eastern World have shaped our lives to be like theirs and we have lost much or all of our identity.

Long after the British and Arabs left Nigeria, Nigeria has waxed strong in religion to the extent that Nigerians now set up religious branches of their home-grown churches in Europe, the Americas, Asia and other African countries. Just like the Whites brought the gospel to us, Nigerians now take the gospel back to the Whites. In Islam, we are also very vibrant to the extent that if there is a blasphemous comment against Islam in Denmark or the US, even if there is no violent reaction in Saudi Arabia, the Islamic headquarters of the world, there will be loss of lives and destruction of property in Nigeria.

If the United Arab Emirates, a country with 75% Muslims, is erecting the tallest building in the world and encouraging the world to come and invest in its country by providing a friendly environment, Boko Haram ensures that the economy of the North (and by extension that of Nigeria) is crippled with bombs and bullets unless every Nigerian converts to Boko Haram’s brand of Islam. We are indeed a very religious people. Meanwhile, while we are building the biggest churches and mosques, the Indians, South Africans, Chinese, Europeans and Americans have taken over our key markets: telecoms, satellite TV, multinationals, banking, oil and gas, automobile, aviation, shopping malls, hospitality, etc.

Ironically, despite our exploits in religion, we are a people with little godliness, a people without scruples. It is rare to do business with a Nigerian pastor, deacon, knight, elder, brother, sister, imam, mullah, mallam, alhaji or alhaja without the person laying landmines of bribes and deception on your path. We call it PR, facilitation fee, processing fee, transport money, financial engineering, deal, or whatever. But if it does not change hands, nothing gets done. And when it is amassed, we say it is “God’s blessings.” Some people assume that sleaze is a problem of public functionaries, but the private sector seems to be worse than the public sector these days.

One would have assumed that the more churches and mosques that spring up in every nook and cranny of Nigeria, the higher the morals in our society. But it is not so. The situation is that the more religious we get, the baser we become. Our land never knew the type of bloodshed experienced from religious extremists, political desperadoes, ritual killers, armed robbers, kidnappers, internet scammers, university cultists, and lynch mobs. Life has become so cheap and brutish that everyday seems to be a bonanza.

We import the petroleum that we have in abundance, rice and beans that our land can produce in abundance, and even toothpicks that primary school children can produce with little or no effort. Yet we drive the best of cars and live in the best of edifices, visit the best places in the world for holidays and use the most expensive electronic and telecoms gadgets. It is now a sign of poverty for a Nigerian to ride a saloon car. Four-wheel drive is it! Even government officials, who were known to use only Peugeot cars as official cars as a sign of modesty, have upgraded to Toyota Prado, without any iota of shame, in a country where about 70 per cent live below poverty. Private jets have become as common as cars. A nation that imports toothpicks and pins, flaunts wealth and wallows in ostentation at a time its children are trooping to Ghana, South Africa and the UK for university education and its sick people are running to India for treatment.

India produces automobile and exports it to the world. India’s medical care is second to none, with even Americans and Europeans travelling to the country for medical treatment. India has joined the nuclear powers. India has launched a successful mission to the moon. Yet bicycles and tricycles are common sights in India. But in Nigeria, only the wretched of the earth ride bicycles.

I have intentionally chosen to compare Nigeria with India rather than China, South Korea, Brazil, Malaysia, or Singapore, because of the similarities between India and Nigeria. But these countries were not as promising as Nigeria at the time of our independence.

Some would say that our undoing is our size: the 2012 United Nations estimate puts Nigeria’s population at 166 million, while India has a population of 1.2 billion. Some would blame it on the multiplicity of ethnic groups: we have 250 ethnic groups; India has more than 2000 ethnic groups. Some would hang it on the diversity in religion: we have two major religions – Christianity and Islam; but India has many. Some would say it is because we are young as an independent nation: we have 52 years of independence; India has 65 years, while apartheid ended in South Africa only in 1994.

JUST IN: What My Brother Passed Through Was Beyond My Imagination- Emmanuel Kanu

"My visit to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today and the good lesson I learnt .

Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.

Today he said things I never knew he passed through. Do you know Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was blind folded for nearly 5hours from Kenya to Nigeria ?

Do you know upon arrival he was blind folded from Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja to Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) for 2 days before bringing him to court and remained blind folded while in court ?

Do you know throughout his flight duration he was handcuffed and his 2 legs chained to the point that blood wasn't flowing ?

Do you finally know an assault rifle was pointed at the back of his head while he was being taken to NIA detention facility ?In all of these things he has remained determined and focused just for our freedom.Ipob leader must be free.

UPDATE ON OUR ROUTINE VISIT TO OUR INDEFATIGABLE CLIENT - ONYENDU MAZI NNAMDI KANU AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICES (DSS) ABUJA:

Today, the 14th day of March 2022, we visited our amiable client - Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the headquarters of the DSS Abuja.

We had frank and fruitful discussions, which dwelt predominantly on prospects of his forthcoming case, and other strategic legal measures to be adopted upon the delivery of the Ruling.

Onyendu also expressed his implicit confidence in our indefatigable legal team led by the erudite and distinguished Learned Silk- Prof. Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN.

Also prominent is our untiring efforts to ensure that Orders of the Court are henceforth obeyed to the letter by the DSS.

Onyendu is firm and unshaken in his convictions and consequently, encourages millions of his followers to follow suit.

Onyendu recognises the Ezigbo UmuChineke who have remained extraordinary, firm and resolute in their resolve. He is indeed very proud of you all, as you continue to show the world what the exemplary peaceful expression of one’s inalienable rights to self determination represents.

Onyendu seized the opportunity offered by the visit to remind UmuChineke that his freedom is near, and implored you all not to lose focus or be distracted by dissidents, who do not mean well for his peaceful movement.

Furthermore, Onyendu commended the peaceful efforts of his indefatigable team who are steering the ship in his absence, in carrying on within the best international practices and conventions.

Onyendu applauded his followers for always exploring peaceful measures in expression of their peaceful solidarity, he is indeed, very grateful.

We thank you all UmuChineke for your steadfast trust, love, confidence and belief in the ability of our legal team to frontally face the task ahead to ensure that ONYENDU is unconditionally released.

Be assured once again that God being our helper, it will definitely come to pass, UmuChineke.

May we also use this medium to reassure UmuChineke that we are equally not resting on our oars to ensure that everyone who is arrested and illegally detained by the various Nigerian Security Agencies is released. In doing this, we are invoking all the instrumentality of the judicial process to ensure that they get Justice.

We are indeed, very proud of you all, UmuChineke, and may you all remain hugely blessed.

It will surely end in Praises Amen.

Trumpet Would Have Sounded.
"Putin Wouldn't have done what He Did, if I was still the President of the United States"
_Donald Trump.

We are still here, watching keenly how the most powerful nation on earth, the United States is about to be pulled down by people who I may say, lack administrative prowess or don't fully understand the United States foreign policy.

Just like it happened in Vietnam, the United States of America was disgraced out of Afghanistan, because of poor leadership and cohesion.

The United States was fully and well respected during the days of Trump; while the king of Saudi Arabia will be in his palace, waiting for a visiting American president, Trump was welcomed by the already waiting king of Saudi Arabia in the airport. He said that Jerusalem will be capital of Israel, and it was so.

Whilst still the Potus (a name for the United States President), Donald Trump, ensured that the world remained peaceful, and stabilized waring regions. He brought peace between North and South Korea; becoming the first American President in recent history to step his feet into the shores of North Korea. He humbled the mad man in North Korean. It's only Donald Trump that invited a leader Kim via his Twitter handle, and Kim showed up.

Trump also made sure that China never troubled Taiwan, and will always warn them to stay off Indian shores. Same Trump killed the Iranian hitman, Quasi Suleimani. It was during Trump's administration that Iranians knew that the United States and Israel isn't their enemy.

Trump would have began a war with Syria, after an American drone was brought down by them, but had a rethink after he was told that about 50 civilians would die, hmmmm. Same Donald made Putin his friend because of peace and stability, but the Democrats currently led by Joe Biden lack diplomacy and went back to start and aggression with Russia.

International politics no be beans "ride or die".

That's what it is...
