This is Angie Engelhardine Owoses. Angie was taught to knit these 100% durable, cotton potholders by the family for whom she works. Once she had mastered the sewing skills, she was taught some practical business principles, & then was assisted with some start-up funds. Angie is now better equipped to earn & manage her subsistence money during her own time. She has sold 20 sets to date of this writing. As a result of her self discipline & determination she now able to afford to buy her own pure cotton. She is currently training her daughters to help expand their little home business and to impart her knowledge to her children.

Do you want to help the Made in Namibia Collection keep Angie's goal alive? With birthdays & December fast approaching, let's see how quickly we can grow that number to 90+sets!

The Made in Namibia Collection how it all begun...

2015 marked some major changes in my life and it was while driving and brainstorming with my wife Mal that the Made in Namibia Collection was finally born. With some meager offerings in hand we embarked on our first Zambezi trip (for that year) and carried with us the first series of locally produced fridge magnets, vehicle stickers, clay ethnic jellewery and some home ware products. The timing was perfect and within 3 years the range has expanded exponentially and now represents many talented Namibian artisan’s (and small scale manufacturer’s).
