Recently we had the incredible honor of hosting Mr. Tatsuya Usami, the Second Generation and Current Master Blender of Shinobu Distillery, at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
As the son of Ken Usami, founder of the renowned Shinobu Distillery in Niigata, Japan, Mr. Usami brought his deep expertise and passion to the evening, guiding our esteemed guests through a premium masterclass of Japanese whisky and food pairing.
Each dish was meticulously curated to complement the unique notes of the whiskies, creating a harmonious and unforgettable dining experience. The evening truly celebrated the artistry of Japanese whisky and fine cuisine.

Punch Dup - serves 4
200ml Duppy Aged / Spiced / White Rum
300ml Fruit Juice / Pineapple Juice / @oldjamaicauk Ginger Beer
150ml Sugar Syrup
75ml Lime Juice
Dash Bitters
Dash Cinnamon / Nutmeg
Combine ingredients in a bowl or jug. Fill with ice. Garnish with orange & pineapple slices. Serve with ladle & enjoy the party!
