The Birth of Peter Vella Wines - In 1984, a few marketing folks came over and told us they wanted to introduce an Italian wine using my name. At the time, there was a lot of white wine on the market, so we came out with an easy-to-enjoy, accessible white wine product called Pietro Vella. The wine was successful for a few years, until Bartles & Jaymes really started taking off. B&J took every drop of surplus wine the company could produce, so we had to drop Pietro Vella from our portfolio. In 1993, we decided to come out with a wine in a box in order to compete in that emerging market. Our research showed that we had a tie between calling it a fanciful name and naming it after me. When Julio heard about the tie, he immediately made the decision to use the Peter Vella name because I was the winemaker. This red wine is come from the US, California.

Palate- brilliant color and bright, fruity taste and Light-bodied and smooth on the palate, why Box Wine, Peter Vella wanted to provide the consumer with the ability to buy a lot of wine for an economical price, and we wanted to be able to have it be a single-serve product. Box wine also can keep fresh longer, easy to pour water and easy to store.

Compass Box Fortitude Artist #11
Compass Box Fortitude Artist #11 is a peaty blended Scotch whisky, created by Compass Box for La Maison du Whisky’s Artist #11 – Pentalogy range. Fortitude is an oily, peaty and balanced blend. It is made from a Lowland single grain, a Speyside single malt, a Highland blended malt, and Compass Box’s smoky ‘No Name’ blended malt. The range features five bottlings, which are a work of art in their own right. Inspired by Aristotle’s philosophy, each whisky is named after one of the virtues. The artworks adorning the bottles are created by surrealist artist Charlotte Massip. She draws inspiration from the anatomic drawings of Vesalius, the machines of Leonardo da Vinci, and Dürer’s engravings.
Refined, elegant. On the first nose, smoke and cut hay, candied lemon and vanilla all appear together in complete harmony. Allowed to breathe, the smokes acridity pierces the surface of the aroma palette. Gradually, mustard seed, musk and new candied fruits (Mirabelle plum, pear) accompany a rich, oily peat with an incredibly delicate expression. On the attack, an ashy, mentholated, milky, lush and lemony peat takes center stage, hollowing out a deep groove in search of sea spray, salt and seaweed. On the mid-palate, almond milk and lemon juice refresh the palate. The superbly serene end of the palate wavers between hydrocarbon (fuel), acacia honey, liquorice and fennel.
Long, well-balanced. At the start of the finish, the peat is nourished by empyreumatic notes (macadamia, sleet, petrol) and yet remains supremely elegant. The very green and slightly aniseedy retro-nasal olfaction is an ode to malted barley and green malt. At the same time, exotic fruits (pineapple, kaffir lime) release a sweet and tangy juice. A block of drying peat rises from the empty glass as the sun reaches its zenith.

Tomatin 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky
The 12-Year-Old single malt whisky is matured in a combination of Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks.
The Tomatin 12-Year-Old is classically smooth, having been matured in traditional Scotch whisky, ex-Bourbon and ex-Spanish Sherry casks. Aromas of wild heather, pine and cedar soon sweeten to reveal notes of crème caramel with apples, pears and mango before a full-bodied and buttery finish, the 12-year-old is a distinguished sherry cask whisky with a little something different.
In 2014, the Tomatin 12 Year Old was given an update and bottled at 43% ABV rather 40%, as it was previously. This core single malt from the ace distillery in the Highlands is finished for six-to-nine months in Oloroso Sherry casks before being bottled.
Buttery at first, but notes of cooked apple, raisin and almond soon emerge. There are resinous and floral hints as well as some chocolate. Oak-y vanilla and fresh mint, dotted with stem ginger, a touch of guava and dried orange peel. Currant buns, a hint of raspberry jam, barley.
