Condega XV Aniversario Epicure

The Nicaraguan cigar brand can be compared with a teenager that comes out with its best gala attire: Condega XV Aniversario, new cigar line, with a new blend dressed with a double and shiny golden band, instead of its traditional red one.

Gesinta, the company owner of the brand, has started to release a first small batch of the new Condega XV Aniversario to the Spanish market, the country for which the brand was created fifteen years ago, but the intention in the following months is to incorporate the anniversary cigar to its regular portfolio and ship it to international markets.

Condega XV Aniversario uses a México San Andrés maduro wrapper, with a binder from Indonesia and a filler hundred per cent Nicaraguan

This cocktail is a riff on a twist, but a classic in its own right. It starts with substituting vodka for rum in a classic mojito recipe. That change requires another -- swapping out fresh lime juice in favor of fresh lemon, as vodka isn't strong enough to stand up to the harsher lime.

Sweetness and balance is provided by a rich simple syrup made with lemon juice instead of water... but, if you don't want to make the syrup, substitute an equal amount of whatever jam or fruit preserves you have on hand.

Garnished with a mint, and served straight up in an cold coupe glass, the final recipe is bright, light, and refreshing.
