东海岸贸易公司是全Dedap, Johor Jaya唯一一间的杂货店，其历史悠久，1989年某月某一天开始营业，当时店屋对面的大carpark有很多马来同胞和泰国人在那里经营warong，类似现在的小贩中心。东海岸就靠这些小贩的订货量经营者生意。据说当时Dedap这区也有着很多间杂货店，但是都因为竞争太过激烈和经营不道，导致多家杂货店都被逼关门。但是现在东海岸也面临着同样的问题，近几年来附近越起越多的超级市场霸级市场例如Giant, Carrefour, Jusco, Tesco, 什么什么co的。对东海岸的打击都非常的大，附近的居民都选择到那些市场购物。所以东海岸慢慢的会进行一些改变，以便生存。
