We continue to bid farewell to our friend, Don Goyo. He was a renowned maestro mezcalero who dedicated his life to the art and craft of making mezcal. Don Goyo was respected and admired by the mezcal community, both in Mexico and abroad, for his exceptional mezcal and his warm and loving personality. He was also a proud Zapotec who spoke his native language and strove to preserve his culture and its traditions.

Don Goyo will be remembered as a hardworking, generous, and humble man who loved his family, his land, and mezcal. He was a mentor and friend to many, sharing his knowledge and passion with anyone who visited his palenque. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence and authenticity that will continue to inspire generations of mezcaleros and mezcal lovers. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
