are Ideally located in Historical Center Colony, a safe neighborhood that is in walking distance of the historical center of Guadalajara and the Expiatorio Temple, where you can find markets, street food, and free dance lessons. In addition, we are close to ATMs, supermarkets, and Chapultepec Avenue, famous for its nightlife. Whether you in search of a comfortable dorm or a cozy private room, you will find what you are looking for at The Roof. Our rooms are clean, comfortable, and secure room as we have security cameras both outside and inside the hostel. We provide various services including board games, laundry service (at an extra cost), towel rental, lock rental, TV with a DVD collection, luggage storage, lockers, high speed internet, hot showers, and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own food, but don’t worry about coffee, we will provide that. We can also help you find information for all kinds of activities in and around Guadalajara that you can do everyday of the week, on your own, without an expensive private tour. We can also recommend restaurants, bars, day trips (and the cheapest and nicest tequila distillery), markets, free tours, beautiful churches, parks, museums, free dance lessons, and nightclubs. Check out time is at 12:00 . Payment upon arrival by cash. Cancellation policy: 72 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or a no show, you will be charged the full amount of your stay if you reserved a private room and the first two days of your booking if you reserved a dorm. From the airport:
Option 1 We can pick you up from the airport. It costs 250 pesos, and we would need you to send us your flight information at least one day before you arrive. Then we will meet you with a sign that has your name on it! Option 2 You can take the public bus that will take you from the airport to the old bus station. In order to find it, you need to walk to the bus station from the airport which is very close (4 minutes). When you walk out of customs, walk all the way to your right and then cross the street to the OXXO. Then follow the exit street to the covered area. After that the bus takes around an hour, costs 6 pesos, and then you can take a taxi from the station to the hostel or walk. A taxi should cost about 100 pesos. If you want to walk, look instruction from Central Vieja. Option 3 There is a shuttle that you can take, but it wont take you very close to the hostel. and you'll need to take another taxi. The shuttle costs 90 pesos and the taxi should cost around 100 pesos. Option 4 You can take a taxi from the airport and that should cost around 300 pesos. Notes: At night the taxi drivers usually increase the prices. Tell the taxi driver that the hostel is between 8 de Julio and Enrique González Martínez on Calle Miguel Blanco, 1115. From the Central Nueva Autobuses:
Option 1 The route709 TUR, the blueline, will take you quite close to our hostel if you are arriving fromthe Central Nueva (this is the main bus station). Tell thedriver you want to get off the bus at parque rojo (AKA Parque revolución) Walksouth on calz. Federalismo for four block till you reach Miguel Blanco. Turnleft and continue for 2 and a half blocks. Our address is Miguel Blanco 1115. Option 2 You can take a taxi from the Central Nueva and that should cost around 150 pesos. Option 3 Take the train outside of the bus Station at the station Central de Autobuses (Line 3), get off the train at Independencia Station and walk on Calzada Revolución for four blocks till you reach Miguel Blanco (Is the same street whit a different name), and walk for 5 and a half blocks. From the Central de Autobuses Zapopan:
Option 1 If you arrive atthe bus station in Zapopan, you can take the bus route 629 B from a littlenorth of the corner of the streets Aviación (Colegio del Aire) and Vallarta. Tell the driver you want to get off the bus on the corner ofcalle 8 de Julio and Av. López Cotilla. Walk south (left) down 8 de Julio for 3block till you reach Calle Miguel Blanco. Turn left and walk half a block. Ouraddress is Miguel Blanco 1115. Option 2 You can take a taxi from the Central Zapopan and that should cost around 150 pesos. From the Central Vieja de Autobuses:
Option 1 If you arrive atthe Central Vieja, walk east towards Calz Indepediencia and theWal-Mart. Walk past Wal-Mart and turn right (north) into Avenida 16 deSeptiembre. Continue along for 5-10 mins till you reach Miguel Blanco on yourleft. Take Miguel Blanco and continue along for a further 5mins (6blocks) tillyou reach the hostel. Option 2 You can also take a taxi that will cost around 80-100 pesos. From the Train Station Juarez:
If you arrive at the train/Metro stationJuarez, you need to walk south on Calz Federalismo for four block and thentake a left on Miguel Blanco. Walk for 2 and a half block. Our address isMiguel Blanco 1115.
