This deep and elegant wine perfectly represents the elegance of Tuscan wine. Thanks to it’s beautiful region, this wine offers a good balance of flavours of fruit such as blackberry and plum. This helps to give it a strong taste and a full body aspect. The Madonna Nera, Brunello di Montalcino also conveys notes of soft spices, leather and to***co. It is usually paired with red meat like beef or venison. 🇮🇹🍷🍇

This great, dark crimson wine is another fine example of Tuscan wine. It is dry with medium acidity and altogether a rather smooth finish. The Madonna Nera Supertuscan conveys notes of oak, to***co and chocolate. Perfect when paired with cured meat and beef, but also with veal, lamb and poultry. 🇮🇹🍷🍇

The Oliviera Chianti Classico is another excellent red wine from the Tuscany region. It has tastes of dark, ripe red fruit such as plum and cherries. On the light side and rather smooth for a Chianti; dry and high in acidity. Perfect when matched with red meats. 🇮🇹🍷🍇

This week we move to the wonderful Tuscany region in central Italy. 🍇🍷🇮🇹

The Madonna Nera, Rosso di Montalcino has a ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose opens with fruity hints of blackberry, and ripe plum. On the palate it is full-bodied and soft, with a pleasant mineral taste. This wine is perfect when paired with grilled meat and red meat dishes.

The Taurasi DOCG Opera mia is another great wine from the Campagna region. It has a ruby red colour with garnet reflections. On the nose it expresses a texture of black cherry, and blueberry, completed with a note of coffee and chocolate. On the palate it is an excellent sip that closes with an intense and persistent finish. Perfect when paired with roasted meat, and aged cheeses. 🇮🇹🍷

Today we present another two great wines from the Campagna region. 🇮🇹🥂

The Irpinia Aglianico is an elegant, red wine. It is delicate on the palate with a hint of cacao and spices. Usually paired with red meats and pasta.

The Lila Irpinia Falanghina is a dry, white wine with hints of citrus and white flower. It is easy to sip, especially with starters or a dish of crustacean meat.

This week we present two great white wines from Campania. 🇮🇹🥂

The Reffiano is a straw-yellow, delicate mineral notes with a touch of peach and candied fruits. It is perfect when paired with sea food in general.

The Nestor is rich and quite full-bodied, with perfectly balanced acidity, good savory notes and a long persistence on the palate. It is ideal with white meat, vegetable dishes and cheese without too much seasoning.

This prosecco is very similar to the one presented last week but its more dry on the palate. Fresh from the Treviso region this prosecco is another excellent drink from Vina Dogarina. It’s freshness makes it a perfect wine to drink by the seaside. 🛥️🇮🇹🥂

This fine prosecco comes from the Treviso region, in Italy. It is light in colour, high in fizziness, and contains hints of pear, melon and citrus fruits. Its floral and fresh taste make it a perfect refreshing drink in the coming hot Summer months. 🇮🇹🥂

As its name suggests the Nodo d'Amore is a tribute to love and passion. 🇮🇹

The red variety is a blend of Corvina, Merlot and Teroldego grapes. Best paired with red meat dishes and mature cheeses.

The white variety is straw yellow with green-gold reflections. Best paired with dishes such as sea bass in salt, or spicy sweet and sour sauces typical of Asian cuisine.

The indigenous red grape varieties of Veneto are Corvina and Rondinella. They are used in the production of Valpolicella and other well-known wines.

A good Valpolicella is first ruby red and then garnet red. It has is often been described as velvety-harmonious. 🍇🇮🇹
