It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of La Vini Culture. This journey has been filled with moments of joy, shared laughter, hardships and the creation of lasting memories. It is not just a shop; it is a place that has become a part of our lives, a community that has grown together over the years. Getting ready for the festive season 🍷🍇🎄

The wines of Nicolas Despagne-Rapin in Montagne Saint Emilion. The pure expression of the natural winemaking.

Natural wines aren’t wines “without sulfites added” like most of them are being presented to customers now following the market trend. Natural wines are wines coming from a biodynamic farming, and a winemaking with 0 interventions.

The wines are vinified without having been micro-bubbled or flavored or fined or filtered or sterilized or pasteurised. No additives added like the ones you can find in conventional wines such as:

- Yeast
- Tannin (oak chips and tannin powder)
- Sugar
- Fining & Clarification (Albumen (egg white), Milk products, Isinglass (Dried swim bladders of fish to clarify wine), Gelatin (food grade), Protease (Trypsin, derived from porcine or bovine pancreas to reduce or to remove heat labile proteins), Casein (potassium salt of casein).
- Acid control (de-acidifiers, acidifiers)
- Stabilisers (Acetaldehyde, Dimethyl Dicarbonate (DMDC) Used to sterilize and to stabilize wine as well as dealcoholized wine. When you see non alcoholic wine….)
- etc etc as up to 70 additives are allowed in the winemaking in Europe.

So buying a natural wine isn’t just buying a wine without sulfites it’s buying a “raw” wine. Something pure, without lie, and artifice.

This is what we protect, and why we are really caring about sharing important information for you not to be misinformed and fooled by the marketing of some winemakers without scruple. It’s always a question of health as a lot of additives are very allergen and lying about them can cause physical reactions such as skin rashes, blocked sinuses, acid reflux, stomach pain, headaches, blotches etc.

Sharing our passion and love from those amazing producers, seeing more and more people coming with interest in natural wines and having you as loyal customers is the best reward. ♥️
