Yesterday, we had a productive progress update meeting for the Better Regional Migration Management Program at the FKE Headquarters, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO)! 🚀

The meeting focused on evaluating the strides we've made in creating more employment opportunities across the region. So far, our beneficiaries have successfully completed GYB (General Your Business Ideas) and IYB (Improve Your Business) training. 🎓

FKE is also providing personalized business counseling to help entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses and connect them with financiers like Longitude Finance to secure loans for expansion.

Mr. Clement Tulezi, the CEO of the Kenya Flower Council, along with his colleagues, Ms. Catherine Mukoko and Ms. Ruth Kagwima, paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), hosted by Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, the Executive Director and CEO of FKE.

The purpose of the visit was to explore areas of collaboration, particularly in advocacy for businesses. FKE has been a strong voice for employers and the business community, boldly addressing the challenges affecting various sectors. The Kenya Flower Council expressed a desire for its voice to be heard as a key representative of the horticultural industry, especially in light of the growing pressures on businesses due to an increasingly unfavourable business environment, which has led to the closure of several companies and collaboration in Capacity Building trainings from FKE to boost their sector.

FKE understands the critical importance of aligning communication efforts with its members to strengthen advocacy and present a united front in tackling the challenges facing businesses. In this regard, we extend our gratitude to the Kenya Flower Council for approaching us. We urge more members to actively engage and reach out to the Federation for guidance, representation, and support, as we work together to create a more conducive business environment.

By speaking up and collaborating with FKE, we can collectively address the issues that impact our industries and strengthen our shared voice.

Did you know, Organizational culture is incredibly important as it acts as the foundation of a company, shaping employee behaviour, collaboration, and overall performance?
A strong positive culture can significantly boost employee engagement, retention, productivity, and innovation, while a negative culture can lead to high turnover and decreased morale, ultimately impacting the company's success.
