Cocchi Vermouth di Torino was not only one of the most fashionable drinks with both elite and bohemians alike but it symbolised an artistic revolution when Art Nouveau and later Futurism were at their zenith in Italy. Bitter, citrusy, herbal and spicy this famous Italian fortified wine has it all.

It was 1891 when Giulio Cocchi set up his distillery in Asti and he was determined to make his Vermouth the roundest by including an incredible 12 botanicals.

1987 was a great year not only in music but cocktails too, as that was the year the Tommy's Margarita was created at Tommy's Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco by Julio Bermejo.

This mariner's favourite actually started out as a tasty preventative for scurvy, the alcohol base diluted with lemon and water to provide enough vitamin C to do the job.

It went through various iterations as ingredients were swapped in and out. The Whiskey, Gin and Vodka Sours actually started out sweeter owing to the fact that sugar was a luxury in the early 19th Century, adding prestige to the drink. This was gradually lowered as time went on to achieve the true sour.

Our Sours are pirate free and crafted with premium spirits by Pirate Patrick Pistolesi of Drink Kong, Rome whose bar is ranked 16th in the World's 50 Best Bars.

Breaking news! Our packaging is less energy-intensive and is fully recyclable as it is made with FSC certified outer packaging and a polypropylene pouch.

As we've been getting a lot of feedback to evaluate glass as a substitute for our packaging we listened and ccmissioned our own research conducted by Ecochain Technologies B.V. employing the Life Cycle Assessment approach.

And guess what? Glass requires higher temperatures than plastic and aluminium to melt and form. This is just one of the findings of a comparative study on polypropylene vs glass.
