Dispiace vedere distillerie che chiudono ma sono anni che ripeto la stessa cosa : Troppe distillerie hanno aperto e le esistenti hanno quasi tutte incrementato la produzione negli ultimi 10 anni , troppi IB , troppe aste , troppi speculatori e alla fine il tetto è arrivato . Poi il problema prezzi ,dei 10 anni a 150 /200 euro a bottiglia e forse piu' e a volte manco single cask- Ma basta era ora . A voi approfondimenti grazie ,

Well, I don’t reckon we need to go over the whole history of Uitvlugt again, do we? As for the stills, it’s a bit tricky since they were having several at that time. Without specific details or marques, I suppose we can’t really know, so we’ll just have to taste this old baby without any preconceptions... Colour: gold. Nose: perfect, ultra-precise, greatly simple, with notes of hay and bagasse. In the background, there’s very ripe pineapple, banana skins, dried jujube, and a few whelks. Frankly, it’s brilliant. I also get the impression that these old Demeraras, whether aged in the tropics or on the continent, mature much better than the Caronis, but please don’t quote me on that. With water: oh, old varnishes, anti-rust paint, anchovies in their tin, olive rings and... hang on, it’s a pizza. A real one, an Italian pizza. Mouth (neat): superlatively grand. Salted lemon, ashes, paraffin, capers, ink, carbon, bitter and salted almonds... I love it. Gold medal, just saying. With water: the anchovies are back, with lemon, to***co ashes and olive oil. Unbeatable. Finish: long and elegant. Smoked oysters and grapefruit. Comments: I think for this bottle and a few others, the bottlers (are you listening?) should change their brand from Silver Seal to Golden Seal. Apologies, relating to what we said at the beginning of this modest session, it should be The Golden Seal. No, platinum is too much. You might say there are also those rare metals used in Tesla batteries and others. The Lithium Seal?

ricevo molte email e telefonate di gente che ha inviato in Asta e non è rimasto soddisfatto del realizzato ... Ma Caz.. come ve lo devo dire che per vendere certe bottiglie ci vuole calma e pazienza e che un asta Italiana e non prendono commissioni che tra venditore e acquirente arrivano anche al 60 % .
- 1 un privato non Potrebbe vendere alcolici salvo tramite strutture con apposita licenza
- 2 sei un privato NON deve pretendere di incassare tanto quanto un professionista che deve pagare costi e TASSE (queste sconosciute )
- 3 armati di pazienza e non pensare che uno si svegli la mattina e vuole proprio la tua e al prezzo massimo mai realizzato
4- non guardare prezzi di negozi stranieri che hanno costi per gestirli elevatissimi e clienti esclusivi che certo non vengono a casa tua a comprare la tua bottiglia
5- se tutto quello scritto sopra non ti convince perchè TU sei più FURBO di tutti bevila e va a f...

Se avete bottiglie rare e pensate di venderle avete due possibilità , o inviarle ad una casa d'aste e attendere il risultato oppure utilizzare il sito www.whiskyantique.com e attendere la vendita delle stesse con il contratto di CONTO VENDITA .
Cosa è meglio ? se avete una bottiglia rara (in un momento di mercato come questo) per venderla al prezzo massimo riteniamo molto meglio il conto vendita in quanto dobbiamo attendere il cliente che necessita di questa bottiglia e non sempre partecipa alle aste ed inoltre se i collezionisti hanno già questa bottiglia , difficilmente parteciperanno all'asta portando il prezzo in alto .

Per ora vale solo per Italiani , a meno che non si parli di grandi collezioni dove le spese doganali di insieme si spalmano sull'intero lotto cosa invece impossibile per una singola bottiglia che avrebbe dall'estero tutti i costi doganali in carico su di essa.
Aspetto importante : se vendete da soli in qualsiasi asta dovrete poi giustificare come mai vendete alcolici senza Licenza e mettersi a rischio per eventuali controlli futuri .

Enmore 34 yo 1988/2023 (47.9%, Silver Seal, Demerara, 103 bottles) Five stars
This is proper pre-closure Enmore! Enmore was closed in 1995 but indeed, the old wooden column still was then moved to Diamond. Colour: red copper. Nose: it's become delicate, floral, with rose petals, stewed fruits, patchouli, jasmine, even hyacinth, then damson tarte, cinnamon, incense, cedarwood… There's also an 'old wine cellar' side from the old age, with a faint mustiness and various old-skool syrups, eucalyptus, berries, camphor, peppermint, and possibly several long-forgotten aromas. How do you keep track of old aromas? We might need to visit an old perfumer's office one day, I'd love to nose labdanum essence. Mouth: this one aged gracefully. More flowers, stewed fruits, resins, saps, soft spices, everything marvellously melted together by time. Including many kinds of mints and affiliated herbs, as in an old Chartreuse from Tarragona. Except that this old Enmore has also got an awesome salinity. Finish: indeed, it's not immensely long but these salty bouillons and soups are terrific. Some sides even remind us of a very special old armagnac (from the back woods, as we say in French). Comments: some great old wine effect happening here. Or, as some say, it's become philharmonic. The flowers were especially stunning on the nose.

Bunnahabhain 35 yo 1988/2023 (46.5%, Silver Seal for Whisky Antique) Five stars
Colour: mahogany. Nose: this is more old-school than the House of Lords. Not talking about the Scotch whisky. Prunes, old cognac, dates, chocolate, figs, whiffs of moss and old pine wood, a few mushrooms and a little liquorice, plus a few roasted nuts, especially pecans. Mouth: we're deeply reminded of some old Speyside malts by G&M. Like pre-war, bottled in the 1970s and 1980s. It is a time machine! More bouillons, chocolate, pipe to***co, liquorice, truffles, puréed chestnuts, pears poached in Sauternes, very old Sauternes, very old Malaga… It is definitely very 'antique'. I would love to watch young whisky enthusiasts tasting this whisky, or similar whiskies, for the very first time. It would undoubtedly be a real revelation, as they are becoming so rare. Finish: rather long, rather sublime to tell you the truth. Comments: as I sometimes say, we could spend hours sipping a magnum of each to try, and fail to decide which one, between the Kinship and the Silver Seal, is our favourite. That wouldn't be too reasonable.
