Irish whiskey is spelled with an “e,” while Scotch whisky drops it.
Why?

It’s said us Irish added the "e" in the 19th century to stand out from our Scottish neighbours.

This 7-Year Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the heart of tradition and the excellence of our product at Garden County Distillery, bottled in March 2024.

A blend of two casks, solely ex-bourbon barrels as one, and the other finished for two and a half years in Virgin American Oak after initial aging in ex-bourbon barrels.

It delivers a rich, smooth taste with layers of character.

The result of a small batch, this unique 5 year old single grain Irish Whiskey was brought to maturation in Ex Bourbon barrels & finally finished in Ex Sherry casks.

It’s a creation that gives a smoothness well beyond its 5 years with a more delicate taste than a pot stil, yet packed with flavour!

Central to our local mystique & rich storytelling is Wicklow’s own mischievous spirit known locally as the Púca.

This age old legend which found amusement by tricking unwary locals with acts of abandon, now finds its resting place on the front of our distillery crest and bottles!
