Beannachtaí Lá Fhéile Bríde

The 1st of February, the feast day of Saint Brigid, also known as Imbolc, officially marks the first day of Spring, longer, brighter and warmer days awaits us.

With so many customs associated with this feast day, it is tradition to hang a St. Brigid Cross above your door to protect the household against all danger. The crosses are woven together using rushes to create a cross like the image above.

We have all endured two tough years but brighter days are finally ahead. With restrictions now lifted, there’s now lots to look forward to.
