NEW DATE!!! An Evening of music with James Kilbane will now take place on 29th of December in St. Joseph's Church in Milltown. Doors Open at 7.30pm with Show Start at 8pm. A Ticket Donation of €25 can still be made, all funds in aid of the Church Refurbishment Fund. Tickets purchased for the previously postponed event (8th Dec) will be valid for the new date. Call the ticket line for details or call in store to purchase your tickets. All support greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately the Church Fundraiser due to take place this Friday (8th of December) is postponed due to illness. We wish James Kilbane a speedy recovery and will keep you posted with a new date to be announced soon. Thanks for your support and understanding.

A huge thank you to Irish Heart Foundation, Philip (Driver), Anne & Clodagh (nurses) for spending the morning assessing heart health in Milltown. Thanks to the Milltown community for your support. There was a great turnout and we hope that everyone went away with a better insight into their heart health. Stay healthy!

FREE HEART TEST!!! TOMORROW!!! The Irish Heart Foundation are delighted to be attending with the Mobile Health Unit next Thursday., at Ryan’s Daybreak,

The nurses will be available to provide heart health information and do blood pressure and pulse checks. The one-to-one advice offered by the nurse is a vital part of this check. Each person receives a personal record card with their results and in the event of any abnormal results is advised to follow up with their GP.

All are welcome to attend this free service on the 24th of August from 10am to 1.45pm

Milltown Tidy Towns

National Tree Week 2023 will be celebrated from March 19th to 26th. It’s organised by the Tree Council of Ireland & Coillte to encourage us all to plant, look after and broaden our knowledge about the benefits of trees.

Increasingly we are becoming aware of the devastating effect of global warming and the need to reduce our carbon emissions. Technologies are being explored to remove carbon, but they are expensive, complex and not fully proven as yet. There is a simple solution and it’s our most powerful weapon in the fight against climate change – TREES!

So, to celebrate National Tree Week and to help us play a part in the vision of becoming carbon net zero, Milltown Tidy Towns Committee has sourced a batch of native holly trees – the variety is Ilex Alaska, which is a self-pollinating tree. These trees will be on sale, at a subsidised cost of €2 per plant, after 11.30 am Mass at Milltown Church on Sunday March 5th.

Our local Foroige club is taking on the task of sales and their help is much appreciated. Each tree comes with planting instructions so everyone, even non gardeners, can get involved!

The Milltown GAA Social will take place in the Ard Ri House Hotel on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 from 8pm. Celebrating a major milestone in our Club's history, maintaining Senior Club status for 60 years, competing at this grade since winning the Junior County title in 1961!💪🔵⚪️ Tickets on sale now in Ryan's Daybreak, Sheridans Bar and Restaurant Milltown, and Mullarkey's Bar.
