A real pleasure this afternoon to welcome Matthieu Bordes, G.M. of Château Lagrange to our store. We are shipping some of their wonderful wines later this year, look out for them on our shelves from September.

On the table today, two from Rioja, but not as we know it. Kármán’s Clarete is a gorgeously fresh pink wine made by co-fermenting red and white grapes, Their tinto is an unoaked Garnacha-led blend. We’re serving them both from the fridge all weekend.

A perfect wine for the weekend that’s in it; il Pestifero is a gorgeous Pét-Nat based on organically-grown Verdicchio. With aromas of floral, citrus, and herbs it is dry with fine, gentle bubbles which enhance the freshness of the finish.
