Where Malbec gets serious! This bold and complex wine bursts with vibrant bramble berries, mulberry, and black cherry, while its firm tannic backbone and refreshing acidity make it the perfect match for a juicy beef steak. Named "Cordero con Piel de Lobo" ("sheep in wolf’s clothing"), this Malbec is a blend from three select vineyards over 800m in altitude, fermented in concrete tanks with natural yeasts. Earthy, savoury notes of chocolate and to***co leaf round out this stunning bottle.

Wine Spotlight of the Week: Marques de Puerta Vella Tempranillo 2023 🍷

Vivid dark purple, with perky flavours of fresh dark fruit -— damson, blackberry, red apple skin — that intermingle with spicy hints of clove and tea. Featherweight tannins and bright acidity add to the impression of lightness and charm.

This wine is made from 100% Tempranillo, Spain’s most planted red variety and the grape behind such illustrious wines as Rioja and Ribera del Duero. There is no oak, and the wine is made in a fruity, easy drinking style. Lovely!

Delicious on its own or with tapas or party bites.

Wine Spotlight of the Week: Zonte’s Footstep ‘Super Trooper’ Shiraz Cabernet 2018 😍🍷

“Our faithful, go-anywhere “Troopie” is top-dog of the Outback, and the perfect moniker for this wine!”

In Australia the blend of Shiraz Cabernet is the ever-reliable wine, bringing together the generosity of Shiraz and structure of Cabernet to deliver an unstoppable classic Aussie claret. Grapes are fermented and aged separately in well-seasoned hogshead barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling with minimal filtration.

Deep cherry red in colour, it wafts of macerated cherry and campfire toast with a secondary rush of fresh berries, mint chocolate, cloves and cedary, smoked bacon. Robust fruit with supple tannin make for a moreish mouthful, this is perfect with grilled or barbecued meats, or anything smoked, even wood-fired pizza.
