Here's a fun fact about coffee - Coffee is a fruit and the beans are actually seeds?

Coffee beans grow on a bush. They are actually the pit of a berry, which makes them a fruit. There are two main varieties of beans: green and red.

Red beans have a nicer smell and are less acidic. They are used to produce lighter coffees. The longer that coffee beans have been roasted, the healthier they are. ☕

Need some recipe inspiration for dinners this week?
Here's a tasty and easy chicken pasta recipe!

Prep:
1. Chop chicken into chunks
2. Dice the onion
3. Chop tender stem broccoli if needed
4. Boil pasta with the tender stem broccoli.

Method:
1. cut the chicken into chunks. Fry them in a pan for 3-4 minutes until slightly browned.
2. Add the onions and fry for 1-2 minutes. Then add the white wine and let is boil until all the alcohol from the wine reduction has evaporated.
3. Dissolve the chicken stock cube in about half a cup (coffee cup) of boiling water. Add this to the pan with cooked chicken and onions and let is simmer.
4. Add mustard seeds and give it a good mix.
5. Add cream cheese and cream and let the cream cheese melt and mix entirely creating a sauce.
6. Let is simmer until a thick sauce is formed.
7. Add this to the pasta and broccoli and mix!
8. Serve and enjoy!

Making mulled wine couldn't be easier!
The welcoming warmth of a glass of this spiced sweet wine after a long walk in the cold is just wonderful. And it's oh-so-festive 🍷
We have some high-quality wines in store that you can use!

STEP 1
Put the red wine, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, lemon zest and sugar in a large pan. Cook on a low heat for 10 mins.

STEP 2
Remove from the heat and cool, leaving to infuse for about 30 mins.

STEP 3
To serve, heat without boiling, stir in the sloe gin (if using, see tip below) and pour into mugs or heatproof glasses.
