Morena Beer
That beer is an art, Birra Lucana knows this and it is from this premise that the Tarricone family's desire to take over a factory was born in 1999, commissioned in the 1980s by the Austrian Prince Windisgraetz of the Furstenberg family which in turn acquired the Prinz Brau Group, which subsequently in the 90s, with the Birra Moretti Group, were acquired by the Labatt Group. Subsequently, the Moretti-Prinz Brau Group was acquired by Interbrau and finally by Heineken. All the know-how and the same workers of the factory have been maintained by Birra Lucana, thus ensuring continuity in the excellence of the brands produced. The art of producing fermented products and managing yeasts is in the DNA of the Tarricone family, in fact as early as the early 1900s, the progenitor Giuseppe Tarricone, had several vineyards and produced excellent wine. It produced and sold it, transporting it with characteristic horse-drawn carriages also in the hinterland of Lucania. Over time he moved the company headquarters to Atella (PZ), then to Bella (PZ), and finally enchanted by the splendid landscape and extraordinary nature that surrounded the area of Muro Lucano (PZ), he settled permanently with all his family of Coratine origins and married a girl from Muro Lucano (PZ), named Concetta Bianchini. Therefore when in 1999 it was proposed to the Tarricone family to take over the Brewery, then belonging to the Heineken group, pushed by the father Gerardo, one of the sons of the progenitor Giuseppe Tarricone, it was almost physiological for the five brothers, Giuseppe, Vito, Carlo, Federico and Fabrizio, who at that time had expanded their business by forming several companies, some of these however related to food and beverage, to accept this "challenge", which represented for the Tarricone family a "return to origins". The Lucana Beer, industrial reality on the national market, has managed to establish itself as an all-Italian brewing pole, the antagonist of the most well-known multinationals. This allowed the company, on the basis of considerable feedback obtained from the operators, to invest time and resources by making use of expert collaborators for the realization and distribution of the product
