Although native to Africa, the tamarind fruit has long been widely naturalized in Asia. It is shaped like a long brown soybean pod, but inside you'll find a fleshy, nutrient-rich, fibrous pulp with a texture similar to that of a date. Tamarind has a distinctive sweet and tangy flavour, which varies in sweetness depending on its ripeness—the riper the fruit, the sweeter the taste. And it is rich in nutrients too, offering antioxidant, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties.

This Tamarind is a refreshing, fruity liqueur crafted through the alcoholic maceration of ripe tamarind pulp. On the palate, it delivers a sweet tangy flavour expertly balanced with a light, pleasant acidity. Perfect as a refreshing after meal digestif, it excels in creative spritz and homemade cocktails.

Avvoltore is born from the union of Sangiovese—traditionally used in Tuscan reds—with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah cultivated in the clay-limestone soils of Poggio dell'Avvoltore.

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled cement tanks, with two pump-overs per day for the first 10 days. The wine then remains in contact with the skins for an additional 15 days before being drawn off and transferred directly into 225-liter barriques, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. Aging in oak lasts approximately one year, during which a single racking is performed. Afterward, the wine is bottled and allowed to rest.

Deeply dark with a robust bouquet, the 2018 vintage is strongly fruity, full-bodied, and soft, offering a velvety mouthfeel with slightly spicy and vegetal hints. It culminates in a brilliant, savoury, and persistent finish.

Born in 19th-century Barbados, Falernum is a vibrant blend of rum, local fruits, and island spices. Originally enjoyed on the rocks as a refreshing tonic — or used to mellow the intense rums of the past — this syrupy elixir became a bar staple after Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt (aka Don the Beachcomber) introduced it to cocktail culture post-Prohibition.

Fast forward to today, and Edoardo Nono along with the team at Rita & Cocktails in Milan have crafted their own artisanal Falernum. Their version combines Caribbean white and dark rum with ginger, spices, bitter almonds, lime, lemon, and sugar, creating a bold yet balanced profile.

Whether you're mixing up a tiki classic, adding depth to a bitter cocktail, or simply topping it with soda, this Falernum brings zesty freshness and a fragrant kick of ginger to any drink.

What are the first three words that come to mind when you think of Liguria?

Focaccia, Pesto… and Vermentino!

Vermentino is the quintessential white wine of this coastal region. Dry, fragrant, and incredibly versatile, it pairs beautifully with food and makes a perfect aperitif.

Expect aromas of wildflowers and aromatic herbs, with a long, elegant finish that captures the essence of the Mediterranean.

Did you know that bitters were originally used for medical purposes before the discovery of penicillin?

High alcohol content ensured a complete extraction of the botanicals' active ingredients, which were aimed at soothing ailments. As a side effect, bitters captured all the intense aromas and flavoUrs of the spices, many of which were very bitter or even unpleasant—hence the old phrase "hold your nose and swallow the medicine."

Quaglia’s Berto Bitter is a modern take on this classic remedy. It's a dry and decidedly bitter liqueur, yet it's beautifully rounded with rich, sweet-like notes and spiciness. The result is a smooth finish with a lingering, long bitter citrus trail. Try it in your Negroni and it will soon be your next favorite!

The most celebrated wine of Ancient Rome, Vinum Falernum, achieved cult and was immortalized in the writings of Pliny, as well as in the poetry of Virgil, Martial, and Horace. This legendary wine was crafted from a blend of grapes, likely including Aglianico, Piedirosso, and possibly Falanghina or Greco, grown on the slopes of Mount Massico. Today, wine production continues in the very areas where Vinum Falernum was once made, benefiting from the same exceptional conditions that have long nurtured these vines. The vineyards enjoy excellent exposure and are enriched by well-drained, tufa-rich volcanic soils. Although the vines grow on hillsides, their proximity to the sea ensures the grapes remain healthy and cooled by gentle air currents.

Nugnes' Onn Anto is a modern homage to this ancient twine. Made from about 70% Aglianico, 20% Piedirosso, and 10% Primitivo, this composition results in a remarkable symphony of flavours, offering a deep, velvety texture with notes of ripe berries and subtle oak. If you like round, structured wines, this will you your favorite wine!

Gewürztraminer is a German name meaning "Spiced Traminer" or "Perfumed Traminer" referring to a highly aromatic grape variety with a rich history. Its cultivation dates back to the 16th century when the ancient Traminer variety, a green-skinned grape, was named after the village of Tramin, in South Tyrol, a German-speaking region of northern Italy near the Austrian border. This grape is believed to be a mutation of Savagnin Blanc, which indeed is commonly known as Traminer in South Tyrol. Over time, natural mutations gave rise to Gewürztraminer, which is known for its intensely fragrant profile, with a flamboyant bouquet dominated by lychee.

Crotta di Prado’s Gewürztraminer is an aromatic wine crafted in the stunning Aosta Valley. The vineyards are situated in a hilly region, at an elevation of 650 to 750 meters, with a northern exposure. This prime location enables the grapes to flourish in cooler temperatures, resulting in elegant aromas of fresh grapes, exotic fruit, white and yellow roses, aromatic herbs, and subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is soft and delicate, presenting a dry character. This is natural, unfiltered wine, produced in only a few hundred bottles each year.

New arrival alert!

Roger is a versatile extra-strong bitter amaro like few we have ever tried.

It is inspired by Roger—a fellow castaway, alongside Jefferson, on the Calabrian peninsula—whose austere and sharp character was reserved for those who showed no respect for nature. Crafted from the finest hand-harvested Calabrian citrus fruits, including IGP Rocca Imperiale lemons, sweet and bitter oranges from Bisignano, and bergamots from Pellaro, this liqueur has vibrant flavours expertly blended with carefully selected bittering botanicals such as gentian, cinchona, and carlina. Free from artificial colorants and filtered only through linen cloths.

A must try for bitter amaro lovers.

Do you know how Ripasso and Amarone wines are made—and what sets them apart?

Ripasso is crafted from 50% Corvina, 25% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella, 5% Molinara, and 5% Oseleta. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently dried for 15 days before pressing. After fermentation and maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 15-20 days, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in late January or February on the freshly pressed Amarone pomace (thus the name “repassed”). This process enhances structure, depth, and harmony, before the wine is aged in large oak barrels for added complexity.

Why not experience the magic of Ripasso together with it's parent Amarone?

Leon Riserva 7 Years is a grappa exceptionally rich in aromas and flavours. It is obtained from carefully selected pomace processed using the advanced Grappasystem—a specialized method that enables controlled fermentation through the addition of selected oenological yeasts. This system maintains the grape skins in optimal conditions within a high-pressure, oxygen-free, food-grade plastic tunnel, preserving their freshness and aromatic integrity for several months.

Distillation is carried out through a combination of traditional bain-marie pot stills and advanced column stills, undergoing three distinct distillations to achieve the perfect balance of purity and complexity. The Master Distiller plays a crucial role in determining the precise moment when the individual distillates are ready to be blended into a harmonious composition.

The grappa then matures for a minimum of seven years in small oak and cherry barriques, allowing it to develop depth, character, and a refined, velvety texture.

An absolute must try!
