【CognacNerds - 30YO Brandy】

沉寂一段時間的 WhiskyNerds 最近終於推出新款，不同的是黑板一樣的酒標上 Whisky 一字被劃走，改名為 CognacNerds 了！沒錯，今次作品是一款 30 年陳的 ”Early Landed Cognac”，來自法國大香檳區的家族酒廠出產的的 “Cognac”，但由於中途轉移到 Scotland 熟成了至少 5 年時間再入樽推出，就只能標上法國白蘭地而非干邑了。酒標標明為 Brut de Fût，即是無加水、無加色和無加糖的意思，但酒色已幾乎深不透光，一打開酒塞，果香就四溢而出，喜歡老 Sherry 威士忌的朋友不能錯過。

聞香帶有布冧、莓果醬、無花果等香甜氣味，隨後帶出黑朱古力、焦糖和薄荷感，後段更有橡木、皮革和咸香氣息。入口帶有布冧、果乾和豐富的果甜味，伴隨黑朱古力味和少許乾淨的單寧感。尾韻悠長，留有乾果香、黑朱古力、一點橡木香和一絲清涼感。

After a period of silence, WhiskyNerds has finally launched a new release. However, this time, the blackboard-like label has the word “Whisky” crossed out and replaced with “CognacNerds”! That’s right, their latest release is a 30-year-old “Early Landed Cognac” from a family-distillery in the Grande Champagne region of France. But since it was transferred to Scotland and aged there for at least 5 years before being bottled, it is labeled as French Brandy instead of Cognac. The label indicates “Brut de Fût,” meaning no water, no coloring, and no sugar has been added. Despite this, the color is so dark it’s almost opaque. Once the cork is popped, the fruity aromas are immediately released — Old Sherry whisky lovers should not miss this.

On the nose, it offers fruity aromas of plums, berry jam, and figs, followed by hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and a touch of mint. Later comes a bit of oak, leather, and saltiness. On the palate, it delivers rich fruitiness like plums, dried fruits, accompanied by dark chocolate and a touch of clean tannins. The finish is long and lingering, with dried fruit aromas, dark chocolate, a hint of oak, and a cooling mouth feeling.

【Chorlton Whisky - Ben Nevis 17YO】

一款 Fruity 的 Ben Nevis，聞香帶有蘋果、水蜜桃、檸檬雪葩、一點香蕉和一絲花香的香氣。入口非常甜味，柑橘甜、蜂蜜等甜味充滿口腔，同時口感油潤，再慢慢轉化為橡木香、麥香和一點鹹味。尾韻悠長，留下柑橘香和蜂蜜甜。

A fruity Ben Nevis with aromas of apple, peach, lemon sorbet, a hint of banana, and a touch of floral notes. On the palate, it is very sweet, with citrusy sweetness and honey filling the mouth, with an oily texture. Gradually, you will find notes of oak, malt, and a slight hint of saltiness. 【Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak】

自 1990 年代起，Suntory 已著手開始研究泥煤麥芽和西班牙橡木這個受追棒的風味組合，而在今次 Kogei (工芸) 系列中，由第五代首席調酒師福與伸二帶領下首次推出這個組合的山崎威士忌。酒標由千總和服館以 Bokashi-zome (ぼかし染め) 這種為和服染色的傳統工藝創作而成。

香氣帶有朱古力蛋糕、摩卡咖啡、拖肥糖和溫柔的煙燻香氣。入口先有黑朱古力甜苦參半的味道，同時件有較聞香明顯的泥煤感，口感順滑油潤。尾韻中長，帶有焦糖、香料和黑朱古力味，並留有溫柔的煙絲香氣。

Since the 1990s, Suntory has been discovering the combination of peated malt and Spanish oak. For the first time, under the leadership of the 5th generation Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, this combination has been introduced in the Yamazaki Whisky as part of the Kogei (工芸) series. The label was designed using Bokashi-zome (ぼかし染め), a traditional dyeing technique for kimonos, in collaboration with the Kimono House, Chiso.

The aroma features notes of chocolate cake, mocha coffee, toffee, and a gentle smokiness. On the palate, it delivers a bittersweet dark chocolate flavor with a more prominent peatiness compared to the nose, the mouth feel is smooth and oily. The finish is medium-long, with notes of caramel, spices, and dark chocolate, with a lingering but gentle smokiness.

【Glenmorangie Signet + Free Tumbler】

This Glenmorangie Signet was inspired by a cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee that Dr. Bill loves, and took him years to recreate the mocha flavours that he could not forget. Using heavily roasted malt, then matured in Bourbon, Sherry and Virgin oak casks, and blended with some oldest Glenmorangie Whisky.

The nose opens with chocolate raisins, citrus and spices, followed by bread and butter pudding and. Sweet cinnamon and malt on the palate, joined by chocolate orange and dates, while espresso, to***co, and cashews lead to a drying finish.

Includes a Glenmorangie whisky glass, while supplies last.

【Glenmorangie Signet 送酒杯一個】

由 Dr. Bill 以一杯牙買加藍山咖啡為靈感而調配出的 Glenmorangie Signet，花了多年時間重現那香濃的咖啡風味。使用深度烘焙的大麥製成，並經過波本桶、雪莉桶和全新品橡木桶熟成，最後與部分最古老的 Glenmorangie 威士忌調和而成。

【Maltbarn - Foursquare Rum】

A 16-year-old rum from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, selected by Maltbarn, matured in a bourbon cask. A superb rum offering great value.

On the nose, it carries Tiramisu, cream, custard donut, espresso and a touch of cedar wood. Sweet and rummy on the palate, like maple syrup and candied citrus, with hints of to***co, oak and spice. The finish is medium to long, warming, leaving a lingering taste of grapefruit, turning into spice, to***co and a touch of smoke.

【Maltbarn - Esteve 33 Year Old 1989 Cognac Lot 89】

由位於小香檳區的家族式營運莊園 — Estève 所出產，這款 33 年的干邑由 Maltbarn 主理人 Martin 所挑選。自 1989 年開始在法國橡木桶中熟成至 2023 年，以干邑中少見的高濃度 57.4% 酒精度裝瓶，酒體飽滿並帶有豐富層次。

香氣優雅有層次感，帶有熟布冧、熱情果、八角、朱古力，以及一絲石榴與冰糖的香甜氣味。入口甜美同時帶有松木香，隨後慢慢轉為柑橘甜和橡木香，口感油潤。餘韻悠長，留有柑橘、百香果與香料的味道。

Daftmill 是一家農場酒廠，由 Francis Cuthbert 於 2005 年創立，是位於蘇格蘭法夫的一家小型家族經營的蘇格蘭威士忌酒廠。酒廠季節性運營，使用自家農場種植的大麥。Daftmill 因其傳統的生產方式和有限的產量而聞名，其推出的單一麥芽威士忌備受追捧。

【威士忌外的選擇 - Malternative】

由威士忌愛好者創辦的 Malternative，如字面意思就是威士忌之外的選擇，主打法國干邑但多次在不同威士忌為主評分網站取得高分數，漸漸走入威士忌愛好者們的視線中。

【Francois Voyer L’âge de ma femme Lot 90】
跟 François Voyer 已經不是第一次合作推出 IB，而今次的作品於 1990 年蒸餾，早於 2022 年已經受到 Malternative 的關注，認為是 François Voyer 中極出色的單桶，直到 2024 年才正式裝瓶推出。Malternative 形容聞香有爆發性的果香，和橡木香相互平衡，伴有黑椒、木瓜、茉莉花和杏桃香氣。入口帶有不同層次，甜美而鹹香，帶有果甜同時感覺清新，酒體有力同時口感溫柔。收結仍然有不斷回味，久久不散的果香。

【Marie Foucher La Découverte Lot 77】
來自接近大香檳區的 Marie Foucher 酒莊，和 Malternative 推出獨家的 IB，於 1977 年蒸餾後熟成至 2024 年。Malternative 形容聞香像熟透水果製作的果醬，充滿果香和花香。入口濃郁，帶有突出的芒果味，伴有蜜蠟、皮革和淡淡的煙草香味。餘韻中長，留有水果和香料香。

【Chorlton Whisky - An Island Excursion】

Chorlton brings two new whiskies from the island region: Tobermory - Ledaig from the Isle of Mull, and Jura from the Isle of Jura! The two distilleries have distinct styles. Many of you might already be familiar with Ledaig, while fewer may have had the chance to try Jura's independent bottlings (IB). Why not take this opportunity to explore new surprises through the single casks selected by Chorlton?

【Ledaig 18】
Ledaig has been in the Chorlton bottlings, and it is known for its strong distillate. If you enjoy any heavily peated whiskies, this is one you shouldn't miss! On the nose, there’s an initial hit of Ledaig’s tarry peat and seawater saltiness, which gradually gives way to the sweet and sour notes of BBQ sauce, along with bacon. On the palate, there's a noticeable sweetness accompanied by saltiness, like smoking seafood, savory with a lingering smokiness. In the mid to late palate, it got a taste similar to Fisherman's Friend lozenges. The finish is a long-lasting smokiness.

【Jura 15】
Chorlton Whisky's first single cask from Jura. Like myself and many others, Chorlton's founder David was not a fan of Jura, but this cask changed our mind! On the nose, there's a distinctive waxy character, custard notes, along with sea salt, lemon, and cookie aromas. There's also a faint scent of to***co lingering in a cigarette box. Upon tasting, it starts with a citrusy sweetness and an oily texture, gradually revealing a hint of smokiness, which transitions to lemon and a salty flavor. The finish is marked by prominent citrus notes, a touch of oak, and a hint of spice.

【Ledaig 18】
Leadig 在 Chorlton 中出現過好幾次，有較強烈的酒廠風味，如果你喜歡重口味的泥煤威士忌就不可以錯過了！聞香先有 Ledaig 的瀝青泥煤味和海水鹹味，再慢慢帶出 BBQ 醬的酸甜，還有明顯的煙肉感。入口有明顯甜味同時帶有鹹味，像煙燻海鮮般的鹹香和煙燻香氣，中後段有一點像漁夫之寶的味道。以非常悠長的煙燻感作收結。

【Jura 15】
Chorlton 的第一支 Jura 單桶，跟我和大家一樣，Chorlton 主理人 David 都不是 Jura 的粉絲，但這一桶讓我們改觀！聞香有明顯蠟質感、吉士醬，伴有海鹽鹹味、檸檬和曲奇餅等香味，隱約有香煙盒中殘留的煙絲香氣。入口有先柑橘香甜，口感油潤，再慢慢帶出一絲煙燻香氣，慢慢轉為檸檬和鹹味。以明顯柑橘香味和一點橡木和香料作收結。

【HIOKI 日置蒸溜藏 2024】

日置蒸溜藏也加入了嘉之助的限量牌行列，是首支 Pot Still Whisky 後第 2 款作品，酒精由 51% 提升至 55%，熟成酒桶多了一款：重新燒烤過的燒酎桶，增添了不一樣的香氣和口味。

香氣帶有更突出的忌廉，伴隨著香蕉、木質香和一點薑味。入口甜美濃郁，先同像忌廉的香甜，慢慢變為柑橘香、烤木桶香氣和一絲苦味，有點像香橙朱古力咖啡。柑橘和橡木香味一直留到收結，甘甜參半同時留有溫暖的口感。

【Glenallachie in Mizunara Cask】

威士忌界傳奇 Billy Walker 以他經驗老到的威士忌橡木桶工藝所打造的 Glenallachie 17 年。這款威士忌採用了 Mizunara（水楢）桶——一種昂貴及易漏酒的橡木桶所熟成，另外配合了以 Oloroso 雪莉桶熟成的威士忌調配而成。

官方 Taste Profile 對它的味道描述非常豐富：帶有有石楠花蜜、乾橙皮和薑的風味，伴隨著可可、煙草葉和雲尼拿的氣息。還有烘焙香料、血橙乾和蜂巢蜜、濃郁的可可粉、肉桂蘋果、無花果糖漿、合桃和紅黃糖等風味。

【Speyside (M)acallan?】

Signatory Vintage 以 Ibisco Decanter 裝瓶推出，由德國 Kirsch Import 挑選，不能公開酒廠的一款 Speyside (M) 威士忌，但相信就是 Macallan。以 First-fill Oloroso 雪莉木桶熟成 17 年，是一款能以相對合理價格品嚐到 (M) 酒廠的雪莉單桶的選擇。

聞香先有肉桂、香料辛香，隱約帶有焦糖和牛奶朱古力，靜置 10 分鐘後或加一點水後香味更豐富，帶有牛奶糖、黑森林蛋糕中的朱古力和櫻桃酒味，最後有一絲皮革和煙草香氣。入口先有甜味爆發，緊接有溫暖而明顯的香料感，再轉為黑朱古力甘甜和橡木香。餘韻帶有香料、朱古力，慢慢變得更乾身和留有煙草香味。

【Whiskey Sponge - Tennessee 8】

來自 Tennessee 的 George Dickel 威士忌酒廠。於 2016 年蒸餾，以全新、充滿香草味、經過重度烤烘的美國橡木桶熟成。以 75%粟米、21% 黑麥和 4% 大麥麥芽作為穀物配方。在 Tennessee 極端氣溫下熟成三年後，再轉移到蘇格蘭再熟成五年。以 57.1% 酒精濃度推出，是 Decadent Drinks 團隊最喜愛的酒精度。
