It's the second year of Pairing Sensations organized by Eddie’s team, aiming to introduce different restaurant sommeliers to everyone. “We ask the restaurants to choose a dish, and then the sommeliers will do the wine pairing. We then invite judges from various categories to taste and evaluate the combinations.”

🍷We were very grateful to have winemaker Maya Dalla Valle presenting the DVO, with its 2018 & 2019 vintages, to the Kerry Wines team.
🍇DVO is a collaboration between Dalla Valle in Napa Valley and Ornellaia from Tuscany, resulting in a remarkable Napa Red, crafted by the talented hands of Axel Heinz (Ornellaia’s winemaker) and Maya Dalla Valle (Dalla Valle’s winemaker).
🍷Maya craves for the best Napa Red, with experience gained whilst working at Ornellaia e Masseto (Italy) and Pétrus and Château Latour (Bordeaux). Inspired by her internship experience at Ornellaia in 2013, Maya blends the DVO from Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Cabernet Franc, “to add freshness to the wine”. These are a very special limited release, with only 400 cases made.
📝According to Maya, 2019 is a more upfront, brighter vintage, whilst 2018 is more complex. Check out the video for further information…..
