【New Whisky Arrival】Ardbeg 19YO Traigh Bhan Batch 6 now available with special price in The Mellow Wines｜純酒舍.

This is the sixth edition of this cult Ardbeg annual bottling. Matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks, the rare 19-year-old Islay malt is produced in small batches and bottled at 46.2% abv.

Tasting Note:
Nose: gentle hints of olive oil lap over the senses. Touches of tar and chocolate ginger biscuit merge delicately with a curious aromas of freshly cut grass. A splash of water reveals a sooty surge of more vintage Ardbeg notes in peppermint, tarry rope, peat smoke and fennel.

Mouth: A slightly oily mouthcoating leads into an intense, minty sweetness. Waves of signature Ardbeg notes in creosote, coal tar soap and bonfire embers follow. Whiffs of smoked pineapple and toasted bread swirl around deep, rich flavours of dark chocolate, peppermint cream and camphor.

Finish: A long and unhurried finish carries with it notes of coffee grounds and liquorice.

【New Whisky Arrival】Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 23YO now available with special price in The Mellow Wines｜純酒舍.

The first vintage of the millennium – the ultra-rare Ardbeg Vintage Y2K. Intensely sweet and classically peaty, this 23-year-old whisky is the first edition in a highly-limited series created during a milestone year at Ardbeg.

Tasting Note:
Nose: Herbal, sweet and fragrant, with a subtle, distant perfumed smokiness. A closer inspection reveals a quirky, zesty note like lemon balsam, along with a suggestion of linseed oil and candied walnuts. With a splash of water, the fragrance intensifies, with a note of heather honey, a touch of creosote and the tiniest hint of tent canvas

Mouth: The texture is fizzy and sherbet-like, with a vibrant effervescence on the tongue. The initial flavour is intensely sweet, with a burst of aniseed, toffee, digestive biscuits, peppermint, menthol, tar and coffee grounds. Sooty and tarry flavours then build.

Finish: Long, lingering aftertaste reveals antiseptic lozenges, bitter orange peel and oak tannins.

This is the fourth edition of the Hibiki Blossom Harmony series, a Limited Edition bottling released in 2024.
For the Blossom Harmony, the blenders at Suntory married Hibiki liquid with Sakura cask finished whisky, set to bring more of the same well-balanced, perfectly crafted whisky, but with a twist.

Tasting Note:
Nose: Floral scents with hints of cherry blossom and fragrant olive.
Mouth: Notes of acacia honey, French pear, and a refined sweetness suggestive of sakura mochi.
Finish: Long-lasting, rich, and brilliant aftertaste.

【New Whisky Arrival】Kilkerran 2004 15YO Madeira cask Taiwan exclusive - 15th Anniversary of the opening of Glengyle Distillery, now available with special price in The Mellow Wines｜純酒舍.

In order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Glengyle Distillery, the distillery released a series of kilkerran single cask, each aged 15 years and matured (or secondary matured) in one of 5 varieties of casks (Bourbon, Oloroso, Port, Madeira, Fino). The Madeira cask is specially bottled for Taiwan market.
Distilled in May of 2004, matured for 10 years in a madeira cask, and then moved to a refill bourbon Hogshead for 5 years, 180 bottles released only.

Tasting Note:
Nose: Red fruits, leather, white pepper, plums and oak.
Mouth: The alcohol integration is good. Pepper, oak, red fruits and cold ashes.
Finish: Mid-long. Pepper, oak, chalk, wood smoke and peppermint.

【翹 Qiao】means "outstanding", this KAVALAN single cask is really a "翹 Qiao" bottle!

This【翹 Qiao】KAVALAN Vinho Barrique bottle is definitely one of Kavalan’s most treasured masterpieces. The deep amber color is pleasing to the eye. As soon as you open the bottle and smell it, the rich aroma of raisins, coffee and cherries will hit you, paired with apricot aroma. On Palate, it has a rich and greasy feeling, smooth and not spicy. Black raisins, crème brûlée, pickled pears, toffee and honey linger on the tongue. The finish is also outstanding. The flavors of brown sugar cake, cinnamon rolls, black coffee and dried candied fruits are layered on top of each other. Wanna drink more after tried!

Tasting Note:
Nose: Rich raisin, coffee and cherry aromas, with apricot aroma.
Mouth: Rich and non-spicy greasy taste, black raisins, caramel pudding, pickled pears.

【The Dram Club】Longrow 18YO 2017 Release

This is a limited release of 4500 bottles. The whisky was bottled on 2017-04-03 after having matured in a mix of 60% refill sherry casks and 40% bourbon casks. This fruity iron cannon now available in The Dram Club!

Tasting Note:
Nose: Surprisingly mild on the nose. Mild and well rounded with vanilla and soft notes of Orchard fruits. More metal and motor oil, as well as hints of gunpowder like an iron cannon!
Mouth: Medium body and an almost grainy texture for chew. Soft caramel and toffee notes mixed with that peculiar iron cannon character.
Finish: Medium to long finish. Caramel and iron cannon. Sweet, with some added fruitiness - ripe, red apples.
