HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2024 is in full swing, and we’re pleased to be part of it at 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝟑𝐃-𝐂𝟏𝟑 from Nov 7-8 for trade and open to the public on Nov 9(10am-6pm), at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year marks the debut of “𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬🧐🏆”, organized by HKTDC, where esteemed sommeliers curate a selection of their favourite wines.

Three distinguished sommeliers are judging this year's picks: Mr. Arnaud Bardary MS, Runner-up Best Sommelier of UK 2015 and Runner-up World Best Young Sommelier 2012; Mr. Carlito Chiu, 2024 Tatler Dining’s Best Sommelier; and Mr. Reeze Choi, the first Chinese to reach the top three as the second runner-up in the ASI Best Sommelier of the World Competition 2023.

🌃We just wrapped up an amazing subscribers-only tasting featuring fantastic Chardonnay from Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau. This talented husband-and-wife duo —Frantz and Caroline—brings a wealth of experience, insights, and passion to their craft. Frantz trained under legends like Anne-Claude Leflaive and Olivier Merlin, while Caroline was the head winemaker at Héritiers du Comte Lafon. Together, they create wines that keep you coming back for more! 💕💕💕

We delved into the rich flavors of Mâconnais, highlighting prestigious vineyards like La Roche and Les Montchanins. We also showcased the 2019 and 2022 vintages of Saint-Véran Prélude, crafted from 50-year-old organic vines, demonstrating how beautifully these wines evolve over time.

Antonio Galloni calls it a captivating "marriage of fruit intensity, energy, and purity." The 2012 vintage offers a delicate profile with a silky texture. Both are crafted from 100% hand-picked Merlot grapes, with an annual production of around 3,500 bottles.

Silvaner is known for its exceptional dry wines. It thrives in clay-limestone soils that impart unique minerality.
