Ben Glaetzer ‘s bishop 2020 Shiraz sourced from 35-100 years old vines and aged for 16 months in French and American hogsheads, sports a deep ruby purple ‘s color with pronounced aromas of violets, blueberries, blackberry , sweet smoke, dried mint, fertile earth and roasted meat.
Deep and broad on the palate with a cashmere like texture and ripe soft tannins it is a genuine example of Barossa valley Shiraz .
Full bodied as a result of warm climate and ripe grapes it retains at the same time elegance and lightness rarely seen at this famous wine region enhanced by an excellent balance .
Drinks beautifully now but will age with grace the next 10+ years.
