Happy 2025 you lovely lot! We're just about recovered now, after a very hectic end to 2024... and the prerequisite winter bugs 🦠🤧 .... how about you?
Despite the duldrums of January, we are using the headspace it offers, and getting excited about New Year haps 🤟🏽 We have a few changes and additions up our sleeves... so watch this space 😊🍺
First up, we are changing our opening times! This is for a couple of reasons - we've been thinking for a while that we wanted to simplify things, and make it easier to remember when we open / close, and we also wanted to accommodate all you wonderful drink-inners a bit more reliably 🫡🙌🏽 So here it is. Last orders will be at 8.20pm, time at 8.30pm, drink up and leave by 9pm. Perfection for work nights, civilised evenings, and still feeling perky the next day!

Just a wee head's up! We've slightly revised our opening times tomorrow as, like everyone else, we've been a bit knocked down by the circulating flu bugs. Thankfully we're on the mend, and only need to slim the hours slightly to deal with the residual fatigue 😴
So come get your NY fizzes, wines and beers, and we'll promise to try not to look too pasty 🫣🥂

● Some of us, for loads of different reasons, don't want to (or can't) drink alcohol.... and love to feel this isn't a barrier to having a good time 🕺💃
● At the Bottle & Jug, we've got a great range of curated alcohol free (and low alcohol) drinks to suit. Think fruity sodas, (these ones are 👌🏽), beers, sours, lagers, prebiotic yuzu AF & low Alc spritzes, locally made kombuchas (coming soon), and even spirits 👻 (sorry, that one was just lying there 😅)

We have created this business to share our love for quality drinks, whether that be real ales or biodynamic wines from all over the globe. Our mission is to bring something new and exciting to the people of Worthing, giving them greater choice when it comes to their favourite tipple.
If you are tired of the usual table plonk or limited craft beer range at your local supermarket then we are the people to speak to. We aim to stock some of the best beers, wines and spirits that we can source, seeking to do something a little different from the norm. Whether you are seeking out the latest craft beer collaboration or are someone looking for that special bottle of wine for an occasion, we aim to please.
The Bottle and Jug Dept. is all about inclusiveness and a desire to share our passion for quality with our customer. It doesn’t matter if you do not know your Burgundy from your Bordeaux or your sour from your saison; we are here to help you choose the right product based on what you like.
Our wines are mainly from low intervention and natural producers who either practice or are certified as organic and/or biodynamic. Naturally produced wines use grapes that have been grown without the use of chemical pesticides and little or no sulfur is added during the wine making process. Many people are sensitive to the chemicals used in commercial wine making without realising, and can have a reaction to them. We believe the wines we sell have a much cleaner and more natural style that accurately reflects the terroir of their region and the natural flavour of the grapes used.
Where many modern bottle shops place craft beers ahead of real ales we see them as equals, and as products that complement each other. As such we stock a fine selection of bottled real ales alongside the craft beer offering, showcasing the fantastic products that local and national producers are creating. We endeavour to support local and independent producers as much as possible, but not exclusively. When a beer is great it doesn’t matter who has made it, we will want to stock it. We are fans of beer, no matter what its origin.
