● Some of us, for loads of different reasons, don't want to (or can't) drink alcohol.... and love to feel this isn't a barrier to having a good time 🕺💃

● At the Bottle & Jug, we've got a great range of curated alcohol free (and low alcohol) drinks to suit. Think fruity sodas, (these ones are 👌🏽), beers, sours, lagers, prebiotic yuzu AF & low Alc spritzes, locally made kombuchas (coming soon), and even spirits 👻 (sorry, that one was just lying there 😅)

Say hello to gorgeous new Argentinian Malbec - 'Apo', now gracing the shelves at the shop 👋🍷

It is unoaked and full of glossy fruit, berry coulis, & blackberry-and-apple-compote flavours... meadow sweet, warming, and rounded 🔥
We can definitely confirm that it's delicious and very drinkable!

Just the thing for warming up this seasonal gloom 🍓

We're open this evening until 8 pm, tomorrow 4-8, and of course onwards into the weekend 🫡🙌🏽

Now look, you all know that we love a good alcoholic beverage round here... (and jeez, with our stock it's hard not to 😅) - but sometimes, you just want something super tasty and low alc/ alc free! We already have a great selection of AF and low alc drinks - but howzabout a few more??

To be completely honest, we're glad to be taking a break from organising markets right now (in our other guise as ), with so many other plates spinning... but we're sooo excited to be able to take part in this awesome event, from the lovely , and we've got some great plans for it!

We had already tasted the beautiful Stellenbosch Chenin blanc blend 'Khakibos', and whizzed it onto the shelves at the shop (as well as featuring it on our grid and at our last tasting event), so we were definitely excited to taste more from this fantastic maker 🍇

Head's up! The Nastergal - a Wellington / Stellenbosch Tempranillo that is full of soft bramble jelly notes (and yet a little light and fresh) is due in stock soon! Perfect for the season 👌🏽 (I can't stop thinking 'nasty gal' now, Stephanie 😅🫣)

Last night's post shift offering; Gunn Brewery's Jug Heister. A little can, and a little underrated, I think.

It's a classic NEIPA (as far as I'm aware); fruit forward, creamy, and tropical.

I'd say it went really well with all aspects of my evening.

We have created this business to share our love for quality drinks, whether that be real ales or biodynamic wines from all over the globe. Our mission is to bring something new and exciting to the people of Worthing, giving them greater choice when it comes to their favourite tipple.

If you are tired of the usual table plonk or limited craft beer range at your local supermarket then we are the people to speak to. We aim to stock some of the best beers, wines and spirits that we can source, seeking to do something a little different from the norm. Whether you are seeking out the latest craft beer collaboration or are someone looking for that special bottle of wine for an occasion, we aim to please.

The Bottle and Jug Dept. is all about inclusiveness and a desire to share our passion for quality with our customer. It doesn’t matter if you do not know your Burgundy from your Bordeaux or your sour from your saison; we are here to help you choose the right product based on what you like.

Our wines are mainly from low intervention and natural producers who either practice or are certified as organic and/or biodynamic. Naturally produced wines use grapes that have been grown without the use of chemical pesticides and little or no sulfur is added during the wine making process. Many people are sensitive to the chemicals used in commercial wine making without realising, and can have a reaction to them. We believe the wines we sell have a much cleaner and more natural style that accurately reflects the terroir of their region and the natural flavour of the grapes used.
