A little break to rest and reset.

We had a wonderful few days away at the coast whilst our fabulous team took the reins (thank you, guys). Dave is now made up of sand and breakfast sausage and will miss his morning beach runs.

And now we are back and super excited for the year ahead.

A big THANK YOU to all who have supported us in 2024 - it exceeded our hopes and expectations and wouldn’t have been possible without you!

No one knows what day we are on, but we are here for all your upcoming needs to eeeek the festivities out.

NYE - we are all about making the most of the whole day so join us for a boozy breakfast, or a yummy bottle and cheese platter early on - we shut at 8pm.

NYD - BRUNCH! Open from 10am with ALL the bacon sandwiches and Bloody Mary needs. Or grab a takeaway coffee for the first walk of 2025!

We’ve got some super cool bottles to buy this year - from the superb Stocking Filler Whisky from the legends at Royal Mile Whiskies to rare and intriguing small batch bottles.

Pop in and speak to Hamish as he’s a massive whisky nut and managed to get his hands on some pretty cool stuff. We always have bottles open to sample too… help you on your buying journey ; )

We’re kicking off festivities and hosting a fantastic cocktail evening with our very own Hamish.

He will arm you with some expert knowledge to impress your guests over the festive period and you’ll enjoy making some tasty treats on the evening. All equipment is provided, so grab your mate and see who is better at shaking a cocktail tin!

What a team 🧡

Whilst we didn’t quite get the whole gang together in this pic, we wanted to shout out LOUD about how excellent these humans are. Everyday they go above and beyond with their hospitality and service to our lovely guests - Hamish and I couldn’t be prouder to see and hear the fantastic feedback we get about them.
👏🏻 well done team! And a shout out to the past members of the clever sausages gang too - you’ve all made Shambles what it is today… THANK YOU!!

Not drinking? No worries.

NON - a non-alcoholic wine alternative / this company have disrupted the Aussie market and have newly arrived in the UK. We have chosen two yummy bottles from the .world range - 1. Toasted Cinammon and Yuzu and 2. Salted Raspberry and Chamomile. Both served by the glass.

IDYLL - these stunning cans by are perfect grown up sodas. Beautiful and wild, they use sustainably foraged wild ingredients and source fruit from small scale farms. The Wild Gooseberry and Rooibos Tea is a lovely collab with our tea company

NON ALC BEERS - championing the range from because they are all delicious and for the superb non alcoholic version of the good stuff.

All available to enjoy in or takeaway.

We have SIGNS!

17 months in and (via the medium of printed signs) we can finally shout about Shambles.

In case you’ve missed our journey - we are a small independent cafè bar with epic coffee, cocktails, contemporary natural wine and a bottle shop to boot. Recently voted Best Bar in Berkshire, we are always busy trying to make sure our guests have the best time when they visit us.
We offer a small selection of seasonal food too - served everyday - brunch from 9 and lunch from 12 with snacks to see you through to a few drinks later into the evening.

As most of you know, we LOVE wine. And think that our selection is pretty unique and tasty.

You may not know that we are also a BOTTLE SHOP and you can buy any of our products to enjoy at home.

Naturally, we have a drink IN price and a take OUT price.
So in honour of hump day being the day one generally ‘needs’ a bottle of wine, we are putting a corkage offer in place.

Pick any bottle of wine to enjoy in our bar from our extensive, snazzy new shelves and it’ll cost the takeaway price, plus a mere £5 corkage fee*

*cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or events. Our usual discretionary service will be added to the bill which goes directly to the team.

Our spaniel hound, Dave, turns 5 today! 🥳

So we thought we would celebrate some of our wonderful regular pooches who like to visit us at Shambles.

We are super dog friendly, often found guilty of saying hello to doggies before the humans and will trip over each other to be the one providing treats to our furry friend guests.

Strawberry Americano - bitters & strawberry topped with cream soda *chefs kiss*

Peach Spritz - peach wine, pet nat, gin (say no more)

Mimosa - as it should be, with Champagne. Splashed with triple sec and OJ
