Simon’s Swansong Case? What’s that? A case containing Simon’s (owner of Stone, Vine & Sun) favourite wines of the year. Three qualities mark this selection: first, clear pure and generous fruit – no excessive oak or old-fashioned muddiness; second, moderate alcohol – the average of the six is under 13%; and, important to Simon as he likes to see our money going into sympathetic pockets, all made by wonderful people working in family-owned businesses.
Why ‘Swansong’? At the start of the year Simon stepped down from the day to day running of Stone, Vine & Sun, moving to a part-time role as Chairman – still doing some buying and looking after key clients. Don’t worry, he’s still very much around!
